A restructured Nigeria where everybody feel belonging and nobody feel cheated is what people have been asking for but your northern brothers does not want to listen.

Unfortunately we now have somebody who gives us a more attractive option in d person of Nnamdi KANU.

If the young man has not succeeded in anything, he has succeeded in causing all the enemies of his people to be bashing.

Nnamdi KANU to me is just the best thing to happen to Nigerian political space in recent times. Those who attack him are just displaying mere ignorance. And it beats my imagination to find any southerner or any northern minority attacking Nnamdi KANU. If you don't have a sense of history in the path of FREEDOM, then Google research is you friend. I'm sure that giving the attitude of some of his attackers, if they existed during the fight for independence from Britain, they would still attack Awolowo, Zik and the likes.

What Nnamdi KANU is fighting is a neo colonial subjugation from the same Britain who enjoy all manner of referendum but will not allow it in their colonial territory due to their selfish interest.

Majority of the stealing in Nigeria ends in the hands of the whites. Buhari spent billions of your money in treatment abroad and was even visited by the archbishop of cartenbury. What a shame? Can even any UK legislator come to Nigeria for same treatment?

Over here in this black nation, everything is politics. After years of post colonial era, the blacks still lag behind in development. India has picked up. Pakistan, Hongkong etc. Where is Nigeria. Ordinary Ghana is overtaking us yet we shout one Nigeria.

To hell with those comfortable with this status quo. Your daughters are dying everyday in the ocean on their way to Italy to do prostitution. Your people has turned slaves in their own country. No justice, no fairness. Why would a federal system tie everybody down. If Biafra region, cannot move forward, let Oduduwa move. If Oduduwa cannot move forward let Biafra move. If Arewa chose Book haram, we chose long life. If I cannot get oil share, let me go and farm peacefully without the fear of Fulani herdsmen.

It is a shame that up till now, no one Hausa Fulani could forward an intellectually sound reason why Nigeria should not divide or why division was bad, or even what Biafrans have gained being a part of Nigeria and stand to lose if they exit from the union?

What Britain would lose or gain being a part of the European Union was well articulated in the print and electronic media for the world to see even as they chose to opt out. But the Awusa zoo keepers have nothing to leverage on, except the brute force of the cowardly buratai which the world is now keeping an eye on.

Then you must be ignorant or intellectually lazy not to know that the 1966 reprisal pogrom and riots in the north (vast majority being Hausa/Fulani) was an agitation for separation; in the 2014 National Conference, again the Lamido of Adamawa again stood up and spoke of the readiness of the north to accept separation; and the recent Arewa Youth declaration was in fact in support of IPOB secession, the Youths event went as far as to write to the United Nations to register their support for Biafra.

My friend; stop deceiving yourself with this foolish notion that northerners are afraid of Igbo secession - in fact the average northerner, particularly Hausa Fulani is already tired of Igbo insults and blackmail; they welcomed the Youths quit notice; its is only their leaders (as you can see) who are desperately trying to pacify them and preaching One Nigeria.

Its about time you guys wake up and smell the coffee.
While no one wants war; however, Igbos have succeeded in making themselves to one of the most hated tribe in Nigeria.
Let the insults and hate speech continue, sooner or later not even these outspoken leaders would be able to suppress northern anger resentment; and when it eventually spills over, no one would have to give Igbos notice, they too would know its time to leave the north - it is a pity that Igbos are yet to understand the implications of provocation.

You Arewa Youths are big losers and cowards...

You have. nothing to offer except violence...
and you think anybody is afraid of violence...

Ango Abdullahi your grand master don't know what he is up against...
He thinks North or Nigeria can save him... or Shettima Yerima.?

Sultan,
The problem with northern leaders is always empty sweet talk trying to preach unity and blocking any discussions on how our unity can be stronger and better. How can we get unity without solving the issues identified? Now you see the talk of the Sultan is indeed deceitful.

The sweet talk will not help anyone in the long run, but getting Nigerians to talk will.

Even if the north is afraid of resource control, there are many other issues that can be resolved for now while the issue of resource control and resource allocation is discussed. The problem is refusing to do nothing will eventually lead to violent change for those blocking a peaceful change in Nigeria.

yep..have you listened to Nmamdi KANU broadcasts before?

weren't a lot of Igbos hailing him? did anyone called him out?
so some bunch of useless arewa youth gave a quit notice and some are now playing d victim card.

there is no difference between KANU and arewa youths..both are fueled by horrible hate.

...OOPS!

There is a big difference between both offenders..........

>>>> One was arrested and detained without trial for the same hate speech

>>>>While the other was never arrested even when the police was mandated to arrest them.

>>>>One was charged with treason while the other received state interpretation that "they were quoted out of context" for a statement they owned up to and aptly withdrew afterwards.

>>>>One was treated as enemy of state and security threat who should be clamped down while the other advised the State to get him(NK) re-arrested and it was swiftly obeyed by the state.

>>>>One is from 5%ters while the other is from 97%ters

>>>Finally, one should have no right to: freedom of speech, association, life and fair hearing, while the other is the untouchable owner of such rights and privileges.

Now you can see that both of them (NK and Arewa youthts), though they committed same offence, but are not of same/equal rights and privileges in Nigeria?

Plus or Minus, that statement by the Sultan of Sokoto will not change the determination of Biafra to seek secession from Nigeria.

It will not stop the decision of the Niger delta or the south west including the middle melt to seek for RESTRUCTURING of Nigeria.

There is so much injustice in our federalism. The military changed our 1963 constitution and imposed a military one that clearly created this imbalances.

As Nigeria continue on the part of democracy our current federalism must be restructured.

It must not be restructured to the terms of the Northerners who are completely opposed to RESTRUCTURING.

At least we should go back to the post independence constitution of 1963 which gave powers to the regions.

Any attempt to resist that process as Buhari is currently behaving will lead to seccession such as BIAFRA, ODUDUWA, BENDEL REPUBLIC, NIGER DELTA REPUBLIC ETC

bro,
You made a lot of valid points, but don't expect Buhari or an average Fulani to accept a just society in Nigeria. They will rather try to maintain injustice trying to use DSS to make sure their enemies aren't arming and then completely Northernize the Nigerian military.

the silliness in their tactics is that they have a false sense of security in coercive force while everyone knows what they are doing while they don't know what others are doing until perhaps its too late.

Some of us appealed to Buhari to release Nnamdi kanu before they make him a legend by unfairly holding him in illegal DSS detentions against court orders. They refused, the result is that nnamdi Kanu is a bigger legend than before they arrested him. if Nnamdi kanu had called for sit at home or a rally in 2015, he will perhaps get 50 or 100 people to attend if he is lucky. Today, Buhari has legitimized him as an authentic leader out of Buhari's mindset that every thing must be solved through coercive force and imprisonment.

Today, people are calling for restructuring, but fulanis block it because they believe they control the army. A time will come that Fulanis will beg for restructuring but it will be too little too late to save Nigeria.

I am appealing to those southerners in northern Nigeria especially the Igbos to save themselves now that there is time and leave the place ASAP.
They should not cry when the day of reckoning comes. I hope they understand they are being told to remain in the north because the northerners see them as a pawn in their game of violence. Their blood will be spilled when it pleases northerners to make a political statement with violence. The choice is theirs to make.

You people display foolishness by claiming that Igbo elders are begging the north. Which Igbo elders? You are just making a ridicule of yourself. Arewa youths gave quit notice because of ipob activities. Ipob ignored them and continued with their activities. Arewa became ashamed and withdrew the notice. And you are here telling us about the so called Igbo elders.

Until Nnamdi Kanu begs the north, every other kangaroo Igbo leaders you are parading before the north is just a ploy to cover the disgrace that Arewa youths are facing.
