40kobo, l damn disappointed with your sense of reasoning, and perhaps judgment to the effect that Urhobo men relegate their women and daughters to the background. l presume you are NOT of Urhobo extraction hence you stereotype without recourse to decency. For the records, you don't give political power to people. The must work for, and earn it. Many Urhobo women, who like their male counterparts, strive hard politically to occupy public offices are doing pretty well because they know the value of the offices they hold. Saying, therefore that they relegated to the background like what obtains in the northern part of Nigeria, to say the least, speaks volumes about your sense of reasoning. You must think deeply before making unsound and ill-informed generalization in order not to feed the gullible public with bad messages. l mean no harm to your person, but your ill-informed thought pattern. #SayNoHateMessage.

There's a reason why the Edo/Delta axis dominates prostitution rings and women trafficking. What is particularly disturbing is that they're not even ashamed of it. I always have to warn my unmarried siblings not to pollute our family bloodline with Edo blood.

So as your pure breed of God sent siblings have refused to marry from Edo bloods now, how have that affected the progress rate of the region or have it in any way inhabited others from getting married from there too? Foolish tribalistic bigots, please get out of my mention with your hate and unfound generalization

P.s; last time I checked the biggest prostitution den in Nigeria was found in lagos, oya tell me its delta and Edo that's there, please educate yourself very well before coming outside else you end up fooling yourself

When celebrities venture into politics, they always go with just one weapon- their fame. They have nothing to offer the populace. No experience or wisdom to lead. They just want you to vote them because they are popular.
My dear queen, Nigerians will give you hope but at the end of the day, you will be left hanging in the air

Sadly, the others that join politics have nothing to offer but their thievery.

The truth is painful right?i asked a simple question and as an Agbari man you are dodging the question. I have followed your write ups here, you and that fratermathy or something fellow, and you guys are pretty much informed about the Urhobo Nation.

My question again. How many women are holding elective positions in the whole of Urhobo land?just shamefully answer and NO DEY FORM FIGHT.

There are more than 5 Urhobo women holding elective positions. How many do you have in your state?

That is not what the Nigerian Constitution says. Okpe is a sub-unit of Urhobo nation. That you want to exercise your right to self-determination does not make Okpe a different ethnicity from Urhobo. Wait until you guys succeed in dividing yourselves from Urhobo before you peddle that opinion as a fact.

Bro okpe n urhobo are two different tribes....d same way isoko n urhobo are two different tribes.....u cannot ask an urhobo Man his tribe n he will tell u okpe, just the same way u can't ask an okpe man his tribe n he will tell u urhobo,,we are together no doubt but we are not same tribe... U don't need the constitution to teach u that

All the Okpe people I know identify as Urhobos. Even your current Speaker and the ex-one all identify as Urhobos and speak Urhobo.

Isoko is constitutionally regarded as a distinct ethnic group. Okpe is one of the 24 sub-units of Urhobo. Even Isoko used to be part of Urhobo until colonial politics came in.

I don't know where you get your facts from. That you speak a different dialect doesn't mean you are now exempt from the Urhobo classification. Almost all Urhobo polities speak different dialects, some of them are mutually unintelligible but all can understand central Urhobo. Uvwie, Ujevwin, Evwreni, Uwherun, etc, all speak dialects that are distinct from the so-called Agbarho-Agbon-Ughelli Urhobo language.

So kindly tell us where your "Okpe ethnicity hypothesis" stems from.

Evelyn Oboro, Former Uvwie LG chairman ( an urhobo tribe), presently a member of the federal house of representative, representing Okpe/ Sapele/ Uvwie constituencies of Delta State.

Now presently in that same LG, a lady is their LG chairman
