By Boluwaji Obahopo LOKOJA—Organised labour in Kogi State has given the state government a seven-day ultimatum over its decision to pay 50 percent salary to workers and 40 percent to local government staff across the state.
The workers, after a meeting presided over by the state Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Onuh Edoka, and his Trade Union Congress, TUC, counterpart, Ranti Ojo, restated their resolve to reject the half salary policy of government. Edoka said: “If the N2.6 billion being quoted now by government as July wage bill is sacrosanct, and if the monthly allocation that accrued to the state from the federation account without the IGR shared in the month of August stands at N2.6 billion as presented to organised labour, we wish to ask why this percentage of salary?”

Please, people shouting APC is working, Baba is working, where and where are the works. This is a man that has collected bail out fund twice from Baba. Why is APC not doing anything to check mate how their governors govern the people. Let it be known that the votes APC will get come 2019 won't come from the centre but from the states. As it is now, APC is definitely loosing kogi come 2019, Benue nko? What about the roundabout decorating Niger governor? Baba should wake up from his slumber, time is near. Your governors, especially APC governors ain't doing well at all.
