Nigerian Fish Pie is a tasty, deep fried Nigerian Snack filled with fish and simply delicious. The shape of the fish pie is similar to that of the Nigerian Chicken pie and Meat pie. But unlike the Nigerian Meat pie and Chicken pie, which are filled with minced meat and baked, the Nigerian Fish pie has a fish filling and is deep fried...Here is an easy recipe for you. Enjoy.
NIGERIAN FISH PIE INGREDIENTS:
FOR THE FISH PIE FILLING:
Fish (mackerel, hake, tuna, salmon, or any fish of choice)
Small onions (chopped)
1 stock cube (bouillon cubes) e, g maggi/knorr cubes
1 teaspoonful curry
1 teaspoonful garlic powder
1 teaspoonful thyme
Salt to taste (about a pinch)
For the Fish Pie dough/pastry:
350 grams Flour
100 grams margarine
1 raw egg
1 tablespoonful baking powder
1 leveled teaspoon salt
Vegetable oil for frying
