Surviving An Interview Loss

If you've ever lost a job at the interview stage, you will admit that it is just as synonymous to experiencing a relationship heartbreak. You must have prepared really hard for the interview, read over night, researched about the company, studied interview questions, etc. Expecting to move on, you are told you didn't make it to the next stage. Devastating as it is, waking up to the reality and moving on will definitely make you heal faster.

Here are a few tips on how to survive an interview loss:

Accept the loss:

accepting that you lost the interview is the first step to getting healed of an interview 'heartbreak". The earlier you accept and decide to move on, the better your chances of getting healed.

Take it as an experience:

Nothing we pass through in life is by accident. It happened for a reason, probably to prepare you for a greater function.

Learn the lesson:

find out what made you lose that job. It could be your over-assertiveness, fearfulness, shyness or even your stubbornness. Find out, and make plans to change and do it right next time.

Don't give up:

that you lost a job at the interview stage is not enough reason to give up trying. Remember, quitters never win. So if you're willing to get that dream job of yours, don't give up yet.

Try again:

it is always wise to try again after a failed job interview. Apply at other openings and keep attending the interviews.

Keep trying:

until you achieve your aim of getting that job, you must keep trying. Even if you fail again, keep trying and in no time, your desired job will be yours.
