As much as its easy to say it was infidelity or even battering fom the ooni that caused their seperation , I think it was more of expectations cut short, life of a queen is not always glam(especially that of a king like ooni).

The principles of marriage does not really apply to their marriage, he can have as many wives as he wants, concubines etc etc. He is king. Do people think that the ooni first wife was foolish when she left, as a daughter of Yoruba she knew what it means to marry the ooni, she knew what was involved I guess that's why she quietly left, not everyone can live that life in reality. According to what I heard the ooni first wife left, she wasn't in support of him being ooni, they had been together for years.It was not really because of any problem between them it was the issue of kingship, they did try to convince her to stay according to the reports.
