In a few minutes time, Real Madrid will take on Apoel Nicosia in a first leg Champions’ League match at the Bernabeu and one player the fans will be very interested in knowing if his name is on the squad list is a gentleman who goes by the name Cristiano Ronaldo alias CR7 or simply known in some circles as “Christie”.

This young man has not had the opportunity to play for Real Madrid since their last game against F.C. Barcelona due to a five-match ban that was “gifted” him by the Spanish Football Association for being too “cosy” with the center referee as he gave the official “a gentle, friendly shove in the small of the man’s back after being booked for what seemed to be a dive in that fateful game.

Anyway, the good news for the Real Madrid fans is that “Christie” will be participating fully in this evening’s proceedings and no one will blame them for expecting a goal or two from their soccer idol.
