I respect the opinions of those who have spoken and wish we learn to listen to one another first before throwing blames. The noise often dominates the reasons.

1. We must admit that one Nigeria is a failed project and honestly work towards peaceful separation. We have prayed, fasted, quarrelled, fought and it fails to work.

2. We have to acknowledge that every tribe is unique and have their blessings. The north may even be the most blessed region but over the years, they took religion and politics too far and now they transform and manifest in mass killings, displacement, terrorism and banditry. These mass killings which are often preceded by organised-silence make other tribes feel threatened. No tribe would wish to have the level of killings in the north. Sometimes, the southern villages are touched. This no doubt fuels the agitation for secession because people feel insecure. Sincerely, every tribe in Nigeria is afraid of inheriting the violence in the north. Don't blame people who are scared of accommodating the northerners.

3. In all honesty Igbos are very good people just like other tribes. They love peace and can progress anywhere but they hate unnecessary control. They are obedient but not subservient and to be a good Nigerian or a good politician, you don't need obedience, you need subservience or slavishness which is what Igbos lack. Igbos can't have the likes of Tinubu or Buhari because they are like human gods. Rather, they need a courageous person who stands for what they believe and they can switch once the person fails from the cause. Nnamdi Kanu is a good example. Igbo nation in this way is a contrast to the Hausa and Yoruba and it's working against them (Igbos) politically. And Nigerians can't bend them.

4. Obviously, many people including some Igbo people at first didn't like Nnamdi Kanu's style but Buhari has made many to accept Kanu. Whether you like or not Igbo is part of the root foundation of Nigeria. Whatever you do the foundation must shake the building. Buhari is one man which majority of the Igbos don't like maybe due past experiences or whatever. They didn't hide it from him even though not all Igbos. But Buhari being not a democrat and doesn't respect the diversity of Nigeria brought in personal hate, life into the system which now destroys everything. It's very wrong to personalise government tools, rewrite the law and decide who gets what in a federation. This has shown how weak and malleable Nigerian system is. What operates now is largely Buhari's constitution not Nigeria's. His to punish Igbos has affected the foundation of Nigeria. Igbo is a tribe, Buhari is a person. This was the allegation some Yorubas had against GEJ too. This has shown how important restructuring is so that no one uses the tools of the state to subjugate others.

5. Let's be honest with ourselves, restructure Nigeria or go our separate ways instead of looking forward for the day our burgeoning hate will mature into full blown war. May God help us all.

The thing I dislike most on Nairaland is when some sick Igbo guy makes a stupld comment and alot of people like such comment. I am like, could we have this amount of people that hate others this much? Even if some of those likes are fake, I am certain a lot of it comes from real demented people. You get served what you dish to others -- the law of karma.
