This is sad. I just don't undertand what happened to Ireland embassy this time around. Last year was better than this. I think you should plead with ur school's international office and explain the visa situation to them. You are not the only person that is being delayed by the embassy. The school should understand the delay. If ur school doesn't extend ur resumption date, then you have to defer the admission. May it end well in ur favour. vkyburnz: |
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by vkyburnz: 10:25am On Sep 09, 2019 |
It's not in the International Office hands But the coordinators of the Master's programme who are saying ...."they don't permit Late Commencement for the programme ...as it is very intensive. I have pleaded with them and try to get them to understand the visa situation currently in Nigeria Eire Embassy. I even asked for a week (Sept 17th) in our last series of conversations But they wouldn't budge. I don lose weight finish Gossiplover: |

that's messed up. i think you should email the school's student union and also the international office. when this happened to me I was made to confirm responsibility for whatever my grades turn out to be in exchange for a one-week extension. assure them that it will in no way hinder your ability to catch up as you are a super-fast learner. just ginger them a little. I hope it works out well for you. vkyburnz: |

vkyburnz:You are all getting your visa this week hopefully just prepare to fly the next day once it shows I am sure u will catch up with classes but if you feel u can't, get in here first with the visa then defer it while here and not in naija cos u never know how tight visa issuance will be next year |

vkyburnz: Hello vkyburnz, My 1cent opinion and suggestions: If your school refused to give you an extension letter ,you can defer your program to January start date if there is. Then forward the letter to the embassy informing them before a decision is made on your application. . Alternatively, you can wait until you get feedback from the embassy and you might be lucky to have your visa approved. But before you get feedback from the embassy, find out schools transfer policy in Ireland and if your school allows student to transfer to another university/institute within Ireland. If they do, look for a school that has the course of your choice and ask for the process and inform them that you are about to transfer . Confirm their latest September 2019 start date. And if there is no option of transfer and no January intake in your current school and you can't wait until next September intake, you can apply to other schools that has January intake and ask for refund of your fees already paid in your school.( but wait until you get feedback from the embassy ) Lol@ your head de boil. If only you know wetin others de go through. Anyways, good luck. Regards, Louis. 1 Like 1 Share |

Hey Guys. This was what I got when I sent a mail. My school extension is to the 30th September. My question now is, why are they just sending out application to Dublin now. Applied on the 12th of July.

Okay my peoples...!. I'm looking to move out of this country at the slightest opportunity. Heard Ireland is not a bahd place. I'm currently doing my masters in English Language in U.I, as soon as I'm through, i want to move. Any advice on how I'll go about it and the requirements.. also, do i have a good chance I can decide to apply for student Visa too as I don't mind doing a PhD immediately in Ireland too... Thanks in advance for your matured responses.! |
