The call for the declaration of ''Fulani Herdsmen'' a terrorist ''group'',is not only stupid but also nonsensical.No serious government will do that any way.

Yes,some people tagged ''Fulani Herdsmen'' have been killing and terrorising innocent citizens across the country,a very clear case of Terrorism.

But unlike Boko Haram,how can you declare ''Fulani Herdsmen'' a terrorist group?




Fulani Herdsmen is just a nomenclature to describe any fulani man engaged in the business of cattle rearing and the likes.It is not a group or association with objective to pursue any political or social emancipation,other than farming.


Whilst any body that joins Boko Haram,will be called a terrorist and arrested,but will you call and arrest a fulani man that decides to be a cattle farmer and thus a ''Fulani Herdsman'',a terrorist,after the declaration?


It would have been more appropriate to declare Arewa or Fulani Youth Forum(for the sake of argument),a Terrorist group, than to declare ''Fulani Herdsmen '' a terrorist group.

I just hope people will apply common sense and stop making stupid and nonsensical requests to declare ''Fulani Herdsmen'' a terrorist group.The best the government can do, is to ensure that any fulani herdsman engaged in terrrorism and senseless killings, is seriously dealt with and brought to justice,or appropriate measures are put in place to prevent future attacks.
