I have not read the Nigerian constitution (I don't have time for that trash) but using common sense.
1. Can a civilian elected leader send the military into a peaceful area when properties and life and not under threat?
2. Can an elected president send his military against his own people without consulting the legislature and or the judiciary?
3. Can the military summarily execute people without due process like charging the so called offenders to court?

I am neither for or against secession but there is grave danger for this nascent democrazy if the judiciary and legislative arms of government do not start the process of impeachment of Buhari

Check out the consequences of our inaction;
Buhari's government can summarily execute anybody it so wished with no questions asked.
Why do we have the judiciary, the government can as well execute anybody without having to submit its evidence for scrutiny by a competent court.

In short, this are dangerous time.
Thank God I have escaped from Nigeria this week and Brazil is my new home.

He is called the C-in-C for a reason. He doesn't need anyone's permission to deploy the troops WITHIN the country, esp when advised to do so by the security council.

However, like a maintained in a previous post, the response of FG has been too desperate and impetuous. It reeks of double standards esp when one compares with the kid gloves being given to the Fulani herdsman.

This is what the US constitution say

The Constitution of the United States, laws, regulations, policies, and other legal issues limit the use of federal military personnel in domestic support operations. Any Army involvement in civil disturbance operations involves many legal issues requiring comprehensive legal reviews. However, federal forces are authorized for use in civil disturbance operations under certain circumstances.

What circumstances? For the answer we turn to section, 2-8, whose provisions may soon become applicable to Ferguson and/or other municipal regions, should the rioting in the St. Louis suburb escalate further. To wit:

The Constitution of the United States provides two exceptions for which the Posse Comitatus Act does not apply. These exceptions are based upon the inherent right of the U.S. government to ensure the preservation of public order and to carrying out governmental operations within its territorial limits by force, if necessary. These two exceptions are—

Emergency authority. A sudden and unexpected civil disturbance, disaster, or calamity may seriously endanger life and property and disrupt normal governmental functions to such an extent that local authorities cannot control the situation. At such times, the federal government may use military force to prevent the loss of life or wanton destruction of property and to restore government functions and public order. In these circumstances, federal military commanders have the authority, in extraordinary emergency circumstances where prior authorization by the President is impossible and duly constituted local authorities are unable to control the situation, to engage temporarily in activities that are necessary to quell large-scale, unexpected civil disturbances (see DODD 3025.18).
Protection of federal property and functions. When the need for the protection of federal property or federal functions exists, and duly constituted local authorities are unable to, or decline to provide adequate protection, federal action, including the use of military forces, is authorized.

He is virtually unaddressable... Since returning... He has 100% snub Nigeria... snub ASUU.. I was actually expecting a live national broadcast.. or press conference .

Then Imagine same Buhari stooping low to beg electorates for votes.... begging Tinubu for APC delegates Primary votes...

Please go back and read the title. The whole military deployment is illegal and an impeachable offense. Abia state in particular and the whole south East in general was very peaceful prior to the deployment. People were happy and contented with their live prior to the military invasion. The military ended up creating chaos, destruction and death.

Nigeria Elections 2015
Soldiers flood streets in preparation for polls

Security has been heightened in many areas of Nigeria in preparation for the upcoming general elections.

Teams of soldiers have been sighted in Lagos, Anambra, Ogun, Osun and Ekiti States among others.

Travellers along various highways in the country were also stopped and searched by soldiers while making their way to their destinations.

The Nigerian Army has vowed to quell any attempts at electoral violence and it is believed that the soldiers were deployed for this very reason.

Meanwhile a Federal High Court in Lagos has ruled it illegal for soldiers to be deployed to polling units during elections.

I never said it is right for Buhari to send soldiers to Abia or any other state, what annoys me is that when these same atrocities were being committed by by president Jonathan, you guys were cheerleading and screaming "Jonathan till 2019" After Jonathan lost the elections, the scales then fell from your eyes and were not able to distinguish rights from wrong.

Chief Gani Fawehinmi fought for every one irrespective of tribe, religion or status. He did not cry only when Yorubas were hurt and cheer when it is other tribes.

You guys made it all about Buhari from the very beginning, so anything you guys say now sounds like sour grapes.

You don't have any evidence of IPOB preaching hatred. Nnamdi Kanu is still being tried in your Nigerian court and the Nigerian government could not prove such
But the Nigeria military killing people is there for all to see. At some point in history, a grand jury will bring justice to the people for this senseless killing that happened in Abia.
