Queenlovely: Land is most likely more expensive in the city than in the village so the village might accommodate the size of house they want as land may not be expensive but in the city you'll be paying through your nose for a huge piece of land in a good area. Besides that, if you're Igbo I think it's a traditional thing. Is it not? |

Same with people abroad who have mansion back home while hustling their lives abroad and squatting with friends or living in tiny apartments,... Take note : they visit HOME once in a blue moon To me it's called Show off and lack of common sense. |

Queenlovely In Igbo land, your house is representative of who you are and that's why they feel it's necessary to build a house in their village. It is a culture they should discard. It's simply penny wise, pound foolish. |
