Every agenda contrary to God's plan for Nigeria shall be crumbled and those who support evil plans shall be completely destroyed from generation to generation! We anybody open his/her mouth wide and call men of God Evil, such person needs medical and or spiritual attention. I want to believe, everybody should mindful of what to say especially, what doesn't concern one lest one bring wrath upon oneself. |

I had expected to see rationale points based on the Sukuk Bond but as expected, fellow Nigerians are bent on derailing the post with abuse and name-calling. In fact I will not be surprised if this becomes another ethnic battle between supposedly educated and reasonable Nigerians. No wonder the ruling politicians asserts that the youths are not ready to lead in Nigeria. Please before you comment on every post, why not let’s think about it and make reasonable comment rather than abusing one another. Back to the topic: Sukuk Sukuk represents undivided shares in the ownership of tangible assets relating to particular projects or special investment activity. A sukuk investor has a common share in the ownership of the assets linked to the investment although this does not represent a debt owed to the issuer of the bond. Therefore, Sukuk holders are ONLY entitled to a share in the revenues generated by the Sukuk assets. FGN Sukuk Issue In Nigeria, in view of the decline in oil revenue, the Federal Government in finding alternative sources of funding decided to issue a Sukuk to fund some major road projects across the country. Roads such as Ibadan-Ilorin Rd, Kolo-Otuoke-Bayelsa-Palm Rd, Enugu-P/Harcourt Rd, Kaduna Eastern By-Pass, Kano-Maiduguri Rd. and Loko-Oweto Bridge over River Benue has been earmark for funding with the Sukuk. Please note that ALL, irrespective of religion or tribe will use these roads. The roads will improve the infrastructure of the areas as well as improve the livelihood of the people along the corridor. Sukuk around the world Many African countries such as Kenya, South Africa, Sudan, Niger, Cote d’Ivoire, and Togo have all issued Sukuk and none of the countries has been Islamize because of the Sukuk. The U.K. was one of the first Western countries to issue a Sukuk in 2014 and over more than $19bn had been raised through 30 issues of Sukuk bonds on the London Stock Exchange. In 2006, Texas-based energy firm East Cameron issued a $165.67 million Sukuk through a Cayman Islands vehicle. GE Capital, the finance arm of General Electric, tapped the market in 2009 with a $500 million Sukuk domiciled in Bermuda to fund a lease-based aviation deal. I think our religious leaders need to learn and stop politicising everything that can benefit ALL of us. 12 Likes 1 Share |

CAN is just a ludicrous body of some intolerant and bigot people, they always cry foul and they are agent of backwardness. What is disheartening most is that they have beclouded senses of reasoning of others with their hatred of Islam. Anybody who is not religious bias knows that CAN is a cancer to Nigeria development. 6 Likes |

COPIED Most times I am amazed by the positions of CAN on national issues. So Sukkuk Bond is a plot to islamize Nigeria, but when Jonathan took loan from OIC Islamic Bank, that was not Islamization of Nigeria? Until CAN begin to say the truth about national issues, there will always be problems in the church and by extension the country. Stop politicizing national issues. Instead, stand on Government to provide basic needs to her citizens. There are millions without jobs, food and shelter. When last did CAN spoke about it? When last did CAN hold a high power delegation meetings with government on why they have not fulfilled their electoral promises to the citizen? A hungry person does not care where his or her food comes from. Seek to liberate the people from poverty before you talk about religion. This is the biblical truth! Stop seeing every move of this government as Islamic oriented. Stop misleading the gullible followers. Many of you cannot give up your bank accounts to feed the poor. Stop pretending that you care about their faith or religion more than their welfare and well-being. CAN stop this hypocrisy! 10 Likes |

olajay86: This is the height of idiocy on the part of CAN. I read through the article patiently hoping to see the part where CAN empirically shows how a purely finance based initiative will somehow turn out to be a tool for islamizing Nigeria. But as usual, all I saw was the usual sentimental nonsense that only appeals to the gullible and shallow minded Nigerian who is too lazy to research anything. That's how they came the other time with the claim that the adoption of Islamic banking was a ploy to islamize Nigeria. Jaiz bank, established on Islamic banking principles, has been operating for some years now and being of great benefit to the economy. I don't think we are anywhere closer to becoming an Islamic country than we were before its establishment. CAN and all of the other religious organisations should be cautioned against unduly heating up the polity 9 Likes |

As a young boy during my primary school days,we were forced to close our eyes and do that stupid clapping,if not you will be punished severely, and mind you all this happened in public schools not missionary ones. Upon all that we didn't go astray,Alhamdulillah, for their plan was to lead us astray as they were. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

When we said the truth about Buhari's evils agendas, they are kicking against our agitations even killing unarmed IPOB protesters agitating for referendum for republic of Biafra restoration so that Buhari and his Islam can do as they want in Nigeria. Matthew chapter 7:7-12 is IPOB weapons not guns and bombs.
