Legs go break. Chelsea are unbeaten since the shock loss to Burnley on the opening day, winning six and scoring 15 in their last three games. You have to go back to April for Atleti's last home defeat, a 1-0 reverse to Villarreal, and they've since beaten Real Madrid, Napoli and Sevilla on home turf. When Chelsea last came here in 2014, they survived an onslaught to return to West London with a 0-0 draw, before losing the home leg 3-1. Luiz suffered a wrist injury in the 0-0 draw with Arsenal earlier this month. He was rested for the 4-0 victory at Stoke City on Saturday ahead of the Champions League trip to Spain. Speaking at a press conference, Antonio Conte said: “David is an important player for us, he is a generous player and is always available. “This type of injury won’t stop him tomorrow. “He is in contention for the game, no problem.” A win would put Chelsea in control of Group C but they face quite the task in Madrid. No English team have ever secured victory in an away fixture against Atletico. And Conte said: “I think Atletico is a really good team with a great experience in this competition. “They always play a great competition and to reach the finals of the Champions League is not simple, it means you are strong and able to have a good tournament. “They have a good team, coach. Chelsea last year didn’t play this competition, we are excited to play and today we know we have to face a really good team.” Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard is yet to start in the Premier League this season after recovering from a broken ankle he suffered in June. The 26-year-old has come off the bench against Leicester, Arsenal and Stoke this month and boss Antonio Conte is keen for him to exert his influence on the Champions League. "Last season Eden played a really important season, played very well and he was very important for us in winning the league," said the Blues manager. "Last season, he showed in every game great talent, to be a really good player, a top player. "This competition is very important for him, but I think it's important for the team. "This competition brings you to another level. I think he has all the possibilities to do this. "He's a really top player. Now he's totally fit and in contention for Wednesday's game. I think it's the right moment." Courtois back on familiar territory Chelsea arrived in Madrid with five Spaniards in their squad - defenders Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta, midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Pedro, and forward Alvaro Morata. There is also a lot of attention on goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. The 25-year-old Belgium international spent three seasons on loan at Atletico before becoming Chelsea's number one. In 2011-12, Courtois helped Diego Simeone's side beat Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League final before winning the Copa del Rey the following season after victory over city rivals Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. Courtois also played in all but one game as Atletico won the league title in 2014. How likely are Chelsea to progress? Sports data specialists Gracenote Sports have simulated the remainder of the Champions League group phase one million times based on their current ratings for the clubs involved and their results to date and have come up with a probability percentage of each side progressing to the knockout stage. Simon Gleave, head of analysis at Gracenote Sports, said: "Chelsea, like Manchester City and Manchester United, faced the weakest team in their group two weeks ago. So, although the scoreline was impressive, it has only slightly moved their chance of reaching the last 16, up to 74%. "Chelsea's results against Atletico Madrid and Roma in the next two matches will make more of an impression on their chance of going through." MATCH FACTS ◾Atletico Madrid are unbeaten in their past four competitive games against Chelsea (W2 D2). ◾Under Simeone, Atletico Madrid have won 18 of their 23 Champions League home matches. ◾Chelsea are unbeaten in their past nine Champions League away games against Spanish opposition (W2 D7), drawing the past five. ◾The Blues have reached the knockout stages of the Champions League 13 times in their previous 14 appearances. ◾Chelsea have lost only one of their past 14 Champions League group games. ◾This will be Simeone's 50th match as manager in the Champions League. His teams have conceded an average of 0.65 goals per game, the best ratio among managers with 20 or more games in the competition.
