Some Guys Are Also Gold Diggers Not Only Chics! by Nobody: 10:30pm On Mar 02, 2010
A friend of mine met a guy,initially the chic didn't tell the guy where she works but after a while she became comfortable in the guy's company and revealed her job and coy.This guy now started making inuendos about this gal being big chic et al.Before you could spell naira land,this guy asked my friend to loan him 100k!someone u met barely 1 month c'mmon.Another one was the case of a chic(my friend) whose new(3wks) bf came to visit,the next thing the guy started whining about how broke he was in her presence and the next thing this guy picked his phone asking his pal over the phone (in the presence of this babe o)to loan him 5k to pay back the following day this chic out of her benevolence gave the guy the 5k and this guy has not mentioned the 5k not to talk of paying back for the past 1week now.Why would some guys keep asking chics for money within short time of getting to know especially when they know the chic has a good job?Real men don't do that no matter how broke they are, even when a chic solicits to help they give the impression they can sort themselves out.I tell my friends any guy that asks u for money especially within shorttime of meeting'do not waste time in kicking his butt out'if a guy can shamelessly ask a chic for money while dating(especially if she has a good job) he'd definitely be worse in marriage.Real men don't plan their lives around a woman's money if she earns more ,we are only meant to support and may not mind doing more depending on the attitude of the man!

@ Poster, u seem to be shooting yourself on the foot. According to your narration, the guys in both stories LOANED money. Loan according to the dictionary is to get cash which will be paid back in the future. If 2 people are in a relationship and one is in need while the other is in a position to offer assistance, i can't see any reason why he/she should not help out. For me, personally i know i can't ask a girl whether girlfriend or casual friend (no matter how highly placed she is financially) for money whether on loan or for "dash" because it will punch my ego as a man, but if for example, i run into a problem that needs 50k to be solved and i have only 10k and my girl maybe has 500k in her account while she watches me pine away and pretends that nothing is wrong, then i think the relationship should be questioned. If she finally gives me the remaining 40k or even the whole 50k as an act of benevolence, it is nobody's (including her friend's or friends') business cos it is between the both of us. I think there are better things you should do rather than poking your nose into other peoples private affairs cos both of your friends in question might not even be complaining.

you won't expect the guy to say 'give', he has to use loan in order to get the money.I have had my own experience, there is this friend I have known for about 2 years,its either he saying he misplaced official money about 2million and he has to pay back,so he's begging all his friends to contribute money for him.(he told me that lie on 2 different ocassions).The final straw was when he told me that he's baby mama was dying in india and he needed money to pay his son's fees,he asked how much do I have saved up,I should give him all, he'll pay me back, Yeah rite student like me give some random guy all my savings,even i he is my boyfriend.Yes some men are real gold diggers

The word "Gold Diggers" are meant for women just as the word "prostitution".

do you really care who the word was meant for if everyone(male/female) takes part in the act.

@ Decryptor
If my friends were comfortable with these un wanton demands cum loans ,i do not think they would run to me complaining.As a matter of fact ,i also had a personal experience with a friend(guy) that had a challenge which required about 25k to sort out,i solicited to help but this guy refused and insisted he was going to sort himself which he later and even thanked me profusely for even soliciting to help!
Now ,in my heart i was happy somehow that he took charge of his problem as a man than one that would immediattely run to you as if you have a vault somewhere.
@MrBrownjay
You just hit the nail on the coffin! Gold digging is both ways, its even becoming rampant among men these days!
