Is the child not from God. If the child does not have an earthly father but a heavenly Father , is the child not a son of God? If allah needs a wife in order to have a son, then he is not Almighty. You said Jesus never mention anything about christianity in the bible. The fact is that you are following a man made religion God is not after religion. God is interested in those who will obey Him and keep His commandment. That is why Jesus said : John 8:31-32 KJV Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; [32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. What is the meaning of disciple? It means someone who accepts and follows the teachings of a famous person. The word "Christian" means christ like. Someone who believes and follows the teachings of Christ the Saviour. Acts 11:26 KJV And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. 12 Likes 1 Share |

rexbuton:Jesus was Jewish so what traditions and custom do you want him to perform b4? Yoruba own? Christians have never attempted to change the OT or to edit or manipulate it, because the original copies are known and available. Muhd on the other hand, not a Jew, didn't see Jesus, an outsider, created a religion premised on the Jewish religion. Edited their history , brought in doctrine from other ancient religions and mixed them together for his main companion to singlehandedly compile as the Qur'an.But there is a clear difference between the OT and the NT the Quran is the next thing closer to the OT and the NT contradicts the OT also the NT even contradicts the NT Converting to Judaism doesn't make you Jewish, Being Jew is like being a Nigerian its a Race there is nothing that can change your race its in our genes Well i just told you 2 Likes |

If by Easa you mean Jesus/Yahshua, then you are wrong. Tell me how many men can raise the dead? Those that do that today so it in his name. How many men ressurected from the dead as they promised they would? Those that do that today testify of how he resurrected them. How many perform healing as he did? Those that do today so it in his name. Saying God has to have a wife before having a son is similar to limiting God's powers. If you believe that the God who created heaven and the earth, humans and animals etc needs a wife before he can have a son, then it's best you stop believing he created all those th[/b] [/quote] Saying that God has a son is already limiting God's powers in itself. God does not need a wife or a son. Do you know of the miracles of Moses, David, Solomon, Muhammad PBUH and all other prophets and messengers? Jesus wasn't given their miracles, each one of them were given a miracle for the people. You pastors only claim to heal people while they collect money from them, if ready they were able to heal with the name of Jesus then why don't they subject themselves to scientific observations to see if truely they can. All of it is a scam for your money and for fame. God only commands humans to believe in Him alone without anybody else that is the faith or creed that all prophets and messengers have emphasized throughout human history. But the devil being man's greatest enemy has led many astray. You should read unbiasedly it is better for you and for me as well |

The major problem of religion is that politicians and goverment always hijack it, for instance the bibble was compiled by the same politician that murdered יֵשׁוּעַ yeshua they change his name to lesous and jesus. They converted a pagan celebration into christmas and easther. The Book the abraham God gave isrealites was Tanakh (the comprehnsive instructions from God) This same politicians chased and waged war with Muhammead SAW for decades forcing him out of his homeland are now the custodian of the religion, having many hadit and laws as they wish. The same europeans came to africa fought and enslaved us, only to turn arround and say they are colonizing us and giving us freedom. Here we are arguing about which of abrahams decendant who leaved around 520–320 BCE we want to follow, while most of our history dates even back |

ExInferis: The Greek word "Ιησούς" is what we have as Jesus. The one you have up there is Hebrew. See this: The proper name Jesus /ˈdʒiːzəs/ used in the English language originates from the Latin form of the Greek name Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous), a rendition of the Hebrew Yeshua (ישוע), also having the variants Joshua or Jeshua. In a religious context the name refers to Jesus, the central figure of Christianity. thank you. 1 Like |

alBHAGDADI: JESUS' NAME ACCORDING TO CHRISTIANITY III. WAS JESUS' NAME "YAHUSHUWA`" OR "YESHUA`" AND DID BOTH MEAN "SAVIOR"? Was his name "Yahushuwa`"? - YAHUSHUWA` - This is theorized to be a combination of "Yahweh" and "Yasha`" meaning "Jehovah is Salvation". This was the name of Moses' companion Joshua Ben-Nun who is referred to as "Yasa`" in the Qur'an. The problem with this theory is that there were several people in the Tanach named "Yahushuwa`": 1.Yahushuwa` (Joshua) the son of Nun, companion of Moses, subject of the Old Testament Book of Joshua. 2. Yahushuwa` (Joshua) the Bethshemite (1 Samuel 6:18) 3. Yahushuwa`, (Joshua) governor of Jerusalem under King Hosiah (2 Kings 23: 4. Yahushuwa`, (Joshua) son of Josedech (Haggai 1:1) and so forth... However, there exists not a single shred of historical evidence that the historical "Jesus" was ever called "Yahushuwa`" in his lifetime. All the aforementioned had this name, yet their names were not transliterated into "Jesus" or "Ieosus". They were transliterated as "Joshua". Thus, we must conclude that "Jesus" was a name very dissimilar to "Yahushuwa`" (Joshua) since it was transliterated by the early Biblical writers into the incongruent "Ieosus" and then later "Jesus". However, the closest thing to a reference of any executed figure in Jesus' time period is the Talmudic entry: "On the eve of the Passover, Yeshua` was hanged..." [Babylonia Sanhedrin 43A] One will find this quoted repeatedly in Christian polemics trying to prove the historicity of Jesus. However, this is erroneous due to the following reasons: First this mentions someone named "Yeshua`" and not "Yahushuwa`" who was hung on the eve of Passover. Second, there is nothing to say or support that this was the Biblical "Jesus". As will be further illustrated in the next section, both the names "Yeshua`" and "Yahushuwa`" were very common amongst the Israelites prior to Jesus' lifetime. This brings us to our next supposition regarding his name. Was his name "Yeshua`"? - Yeshua` - This name is rooted in the word "yasha`" meaning "safety" in Hebrew. Christians attempt to proselytize their theories of a "man-god" Jesus by saying this name of his meant "Salvation". The Problem with that theory is the fact that this name means "He is saved". If he is God then who saved him? If this name is a sign of divinity then what of the others with the name Yeshua`? Were they the "only begotten son of God" as well? Obviously not, as no Jews ever held this erroneous idea. "Now these are the children of the province that went up out of the captivity...Which came with Zerubbabel: Jeshua, Nehemiah..." [Ezra 2:2] "The ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah," [I Chronicles 24:11] "And next him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah..." [II Chronicles 31:15] "And next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah.." [Nehemiah 3:19] Each and every one of these people have the name "Yeshua`" spelled exactly how the Christians allege Jesus' supposed original name is spelled. However as we can see, this name was transliterated into "Jeshua" by the early Biblical writers and not "Jesus" or "Ieosus". Why then is Jesus the only one named "Jesus" in the entirety of the Bible and, moreover, in the entirety of any recorded history of his time? It is because his name was unique and neither "Yeshua`" or "Yehushuwa`" were his name. As we can see "Yehushuwa`" and "Yeshua`" were not special or unique names, yet they were very common. However, "Jesus" remains a name very unique to this Messianic character shrouded in controversy. There is no historical record of Jesus being called by either of these names in his lifetime. Even if "Yeshua`" were the name of Jesus it would completely obliterate the Christian position that he was the "Savior" of mankind, since this name does not mean "Savior" but means "He is saved". This would further support the Muslim belief that Jesus was saved from the ignominy of crucifixion and ascended up to heaven alive. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Deicide:not only isiah prophet micah also stated where Jesus would be born And saying there was no physical statement about Jesus is wrong david once said in a revelation lord said unto my lord hw do you explain dat?? God himself spoke of Jesus coming saying he will write his laws in our hearts and not on tablet. Excerpt from old testament Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Micah 5:2 he prophesied Jesus birth place yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Note from OLD There are many verses like dat ESPECIALLY Isaiah 53:3-7 “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.” Verdict: There is no similarities between quran and Bible people saying that are surely deluded or misguided They believe and STAND for different things entirely E.G 1. u don't believe in an "imaginary" spirit from God, but we do 2. Jesus spoke about the wife and husband being one but i "think " u are permitted to hv more than a wife .. .. .. the list is endless I'm just calling for stop in comparison or rivalry Muslims should see Christianity has just another religion like Judaism nd all Christians are not even permitted to see it as a religion but as a way of life cos we believe u shld live ur life according to the dictates of Holy Spirit not by a particular law. It takes more than argument to convert from a religion to another so all these we are doing is vain as God don't need mortals to defend him One day we will all know the truth but it my deepest desire you and i know the truth before we meet Almighty our creator |

Thanks OP and i am glad this made front page. I wonder why islamic threads are locked until one declares his loyalty to islam before he/she can post on the thread but Muslims can freely post on Christian threads without affirming their belief in Jesus or the Christian faith. I see it as an injustice to Christians and bias. All religions should have equal rights. If its good for Muslims, then it should be good for Christians to enjoy such rights. I hope the nairaland management looks into this injustice/marginalization and corrects it. 2 Likes |

1 John 2:22 Who is the LIAR? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the ANTICHRIST--denying the Father and the Son. [/quote] It is chocking that Christians still quote the bible till today, while it has been proven that it is not a devine book, has numerous contradictions, and every scholar agrees that it was altered throughout time which gave us many versions. Jews have a clear position, the Torah is from God. Muslim have a clear position Qur'an is from God. We know the Zaboor was a revelation from God given to David etc.... But we all know the bible most of it is composed of judaic scriptures and believe and of what some humans wrote most of which will still really know their story, some did not live at the same time as Jesus so how could they have ever being his apostle. 1 Like |

First Muslims love Jesus (as). Yes he was born Yeshua but is pronounced Eesa in Arabic and Jesus in English. Its still the same person. The love and respect that Muslims have for Jesus are kept in perspective always. He was a human being sent by God to do great things. Yet that could never equate him to God. Mohammed (saw) used to tell early Muslims to take care in praising him as he was first and foremost a human being. When Mohammed died, Abu Bakr said:"if you used to worship Mohammed, know that he is dead, but if you used to worship God, know that God is ever living" Few can understand This MESSAGE. Do I worship Moses because he performed Miracles. Or worship Jesus even though Jesus said I have no power except from God. "Hear o Israel, thy Lord thy God is One" The first law was and is still is " I am Thy God, thou shall worship none But Me." 4 Likes |
