Mr Acting President sir,
God just gave you a rare opportunity to print your name positively on the sand of time but i can see that you are only concerned about the name more than the task.
You cannot please everyone and the steps you have taken so far is a great disappointment to nigerians. You have to be your own man. You are yet to proove your self a leader. You did not become acting president by mistake, God took you there for a reason; to cause a paradigm shift in the affairs of nigeria but sir, you are towing the path of failures. What exactly is the problem sir? You are a graduate with a Phd, with your educational upbringing and experience in the four walls of a university you cannot afford to allow some near illiterates dictate your direction and pace. Mr acting president sir, you still have some time to redeem yourself and do the right thing. Believe it or not, the name YARADUA has already been soiled, yours may tow thesame line. When the chips are down, and very soon they'll be i hope it wont be too late then. PLEASE MR ACTING PRESIDENT, DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND NOT WHAT IS RITE.
WAKE UP . . . . SMELL THE COFFEE . , .

with people like you, this country won't stop its zig zag motion, why not voice out your point or hold your peace?
i wouldn't blame you much either, you are living in an illusory society, otherwise the more you know the less you talk.

Re: Jonathan! Jonathan! Jonathan! by Boboribo: 6:33pm On Mar 04, 2010
All poster is saying is, I think, is that Jonah should put his best foot forward and get cracking else he is swallowed up by the Fish again on his escape to Nineveh. Get it?

Jonathan, Jonathan, Jonathan, how many times have I called u? eh, eh, eh, cool cool cool
Re: Jonathan! Jonathan! Jonathan! by hillsate: 1:30pm On Mar 05, 2010
To all who are confused and even insulting, its okay. But let me ask you.
1. On what ground did Goodluck redepoly Aandooka and couldnt redeploy other mnisters who he knows wont be loyal to him.
2. he has not uttered anything concerning the troops that were deployed to the airport for yaradua without his knowledge yet he is acclaimed to be commander in chief ( i wonder of what?)
3. he has every right to demand to see his boss and not being tossed about by the likes of turai.
4. he needs to immediately dissolve the cabinet, retire all the service chiefs to move this country forward.
Jonathan needs to take a bold stand on what is happening.
Should i continue?

To all intent and purposes Mr Yaradua was still the substantive President of the nation at the time of deployment. Do u think Jonathan has a knee-jerk reaction like many of us on this forum.

Phd is not for the less discerning individual and not a child’s play for u to pursue an academic career at that level requires all your faculty to be working in unison.

Jonathan is a thoughtful examiner, he has seen the loop holes and pitfalls b4 some of u agberos open your ethnic fuelled and biased mouth.
Re: Jonathan! Jonathan! Jonathan! by sashbaby(f): 2:07pm On Mar 05, 2010
@mr knowall did yar'adull give the order for the deployment of troopes to the airport. who gave the order? pls no one is playing the ethnic card here. read carefully before posting.
Re: Jonathan! Jonathan! Jonathan! by naso2(m): 2:33pm On Mar 05, 2010
To a large extent i think the "Aluta" tendencies appear to be the disposition of most of us when we appraise national issues.

1. On what ground did Goodluck redepoly Aandooka and couldnt redeploy other mnisters who he knows wont be loyal to him.

Because Aondokaa(how is it even spelt?) was the arrowhead of the legal fireworks against jonathan's acting presidency and he was doing this in his official capacity as the minister of justice and attorney general of the federation. Jonathan did not want to leave room for any legal embarassment from within the FEC. Redeploying other ministers will not make him get the two-third needed to declare UMYA unfit. It was only going to lead to further tension with little value to his desired end.

As the man in charge now , I think Jonathan knows that he has little to benfit from tensions. What word do you want to hear from the president? Is that what leadership is? He sure will be accessing the situation to know what next to do but speaking is definitely not necessary. Yes for now.

3. he has every right to demand to see his boss and not being tossed about by the likes of turai.
This is a very sensitive issue and has to be approach tactfully, Besides even if he goes in there to see UMYA and finds that the man is a vegetable. what value will that add. The powers presently rest on the NASS and FEC to take decisions on UMYA and even if the process starts today you can be sure it will take another 2 months to see an impeachment through.

4. he needs to immediately dissolve the cabinet, retire all the service chiefs to move this country forward.

You dont approach military issues this way my friend, even ex-military men like OBJ do not approach issues like this rashly. I am sure Jonathan is consulting those that know the workings in the military to determine his next step.

On dissolving the cabinet, that will sure come in some subtle manner very soon, the panel to investigate contracts will nail many ministers soon

continue with what , if I may ask?

Does Yaradua have to give the other for troops to escort him home from the airport. Moreso the home coming sojourn was meant to be a surprise and top secret; one would have expected the armed forces to behave the way they did especially when that directive is coming from the Presidential spouse.

In our society the Presidential spouse is revered and held in high esteem this behavioural pattern is not limited to Nigerians it is a common phenomenon in Africa. The wife of the President of Kenya once slapped a subordinate sometime ago, so what is new in Turai giving directives.
Re: Jonathan! Jonathan! Jonathan! by sashbaby(f): 4:02pm On Mar 05, 2010
@knowall is madam turai the commander in chief of the armed forces. is she the candidate that ran for president was she sworn in as the president of the ferderal republic of nigeria. since when are troops deployed on our runways for the arrival of presidents.except u are saying turai is commander in thief of the armed cabal.
