Its really so amazing to see how some folks will jum-ascend to issues relating to money and finance. Yet what they fail to realise is that bible isnt concerned about who's rich financially or who's poor in finance, but the well-being of the spiritual man. What remains a fact is that whichever way we look at God, He is! same for his words in Christ Jesus. To a rich man aspiring material wealth: He sees Jesus as the man dressed in purple robe and eats with Tax-collectors what we call/see as "corrupt political and oil magnates" today To a poor man seeking comfort in his low state: He sees Jesus as the man who never had a house to rest his head, the man who could not afford a coin to pay for taxes and so on. Now what is so dynamic about scriptures is that they have quotes to butress their claims, but the onus should be to serve God in humility, purity and spirit whether you're rich or not for God only checks the heart to see those who are for his or for the devil. |

Joagbaje: No it's not unscriptural to give money in church, however it is unscriptural and evil to distort scriptures to extort money from worshippers in church. Examples of indoctrinated twisted, evil and greed motivated teachings established in some churches today to fleece the flock include mandatory tithing, seed sowing and first fruits. These twisted doctrines clearly have no sound basis in true christianity. |
Re: Pastor: Fake Or Real! by richjohn1(m): 4:48pm On Mar 08, 2010 |
@joagbaje Its unscriptural, Jesus didn't collect offering paul didnt collect offering/tithe/firstfruit etc, peter, james key man of christianity never collected offering. in fact it was the opposite jesus fed 5000 on one occasion 4000 on another occasion he never collected a dime the church was busy feeding the needy and the ones that were lacking not buying private jets, luxury yacht, or making 'jerry curl' and doing 'super sunday' so based on scriptures you fall headlong I find it hard to digest why people are christians its either of these 2 things deliberate ignorance or extreme delusion |

rich_john: @rich_john, The products of a man's heart can spew trash when allowed to drift from the truth, simple dignity is gained by keeping silent when one doesnt know what they are saying. Simple remedy for you is to google this "did paul collect offering in the bible?" maybe those trash up here will change for good |

KunleOshob:Which one is mandatory tithing? People are taught to give in churches no pastor will put a gun on a member to give his tithe. Abi is there a church you cant enter bc you didnt tithe? Why are you drinking panadol in another man's pain if there is as you think. Are tithe payers complaining abi they are mumu so your thier advocate. Or you have planned to carry people on your back to heaven. A christian should give all and his best at all times, if he can, according to his faith.Where your hearth is where you put your treasure. Even it means starving for a day so you can give for the sake of the gospel, thats love, great love for the master. Is not only when is convenient that a christian should give, even if it means your last cash. I have done it severally and i will do it over and over again. |

@ Everyone, Before we go to church this Sunday, prepare your check list [ Fake or Real] ; look at your pastor in the eyes when he says his sermon and then recall back all his sermons over the years one more thing, don't forget to have a 'prosperity chats' with the church finance committee try your best to convince them that you are interested to become their stakeholder |

Re: Pastor: Fake Or Real! by mabell: 12:59pm On Mar 09, 2010 |
rich_john: well maybe it will lead you to some sciptures so why not try it first!?! KunleOshob:Na wa o! KunleOshob, this bitterness you have against ministers of God is amazing. you sound like you have being duped over and over again by pastors via tithing, offerings, seeds and firstfruits. Inasmuch as the tithing is compulsory as well as the firstfruits, it is still not by force o! The same way the bible says "ye must be born again" but you cannot force a man to be born again and succed by it. It takes love for God to be born again so also it takes love for a man to give of his substance to God. By the way what is your yardstick for measuring the fake or real pastors and are you ordained by God to do the measuring? |

afiq: There you have it folks, this is the reaction I was expecting from us. Just try and check the FACTS for your self and you might be amazed at what you find. Some of us are given the gift to DISCERN and we must use it to the full extent. mabell: mabell, Could you be kind enough to show us where it was made compulsory? |
Re: Pastor: Fake Or Real! by InesQor(m): 2:11pm On Mar 09, 2010 |

Re: Pastor: Fake Or Real! by KunleOshob(m): 6:31pm On Mar 09, 2010 |
ogajim: For all you know nuella and mabell are one and the same person, CEC plc members are fund of creating multiple IDs to spread their deluded heresies. |

Re: Pastor: Fake Or Real! by KunleOshob(m): 6:45pm On Mar 09, 2010 |
nuella2: I don't need to prove any thing all i know is that "both" posters are equally shallow and they subscirbe to the heresies being spread by CEC plc, that apart i know that they are both recently created IDs by an old member of Nairaland who had to change identity becos of the ill repute the previous ID being used had gained on this forum |
Re: Pastor: Fake Or Real! by ogajim(m): 7:06pm On Mar 09, 2010 |
I had no idea the length folks would go to spread falsehood and claim it as the truth. CEC Inc. NL Parish sounds like a winner if you ask me! |
Re: Pastor: Fake Or Real! by nuella2(f): 9:31am On Mar 10, 2010 |
KunleOshob:Whatever problem you have with CEC is your problem, am not mabell and never changed my ID. You know alot of things, why dont you use i think, knowing that lying is a sin. You and Ogajim believe thesame things so that makes you guys what? Am a christian in nairaland, is not my business if your Jehovah witness or Olumba, i only see you as a poster and not whether you are a follower of charles. |

KunleOshob: i think you are talking from experience, i laugh at the way you say heresies you are so very predictable kunleoshob try and step up small for the fact that you and your recruits do it does not mean every other person on nairaland should do same i am mabell and not nuella2, but no need to say more cos your mind is made up! |
Re: Pastor: Fake Or Real! by ogajim(m): 1:53pm On Mar 11, 2010 |
It is sad that some folks would change their ID after loosing a debate or to pile on someone or even to make it look like someone else shares their delusion. God sees all things that are hidden from the human eyes so will be a better judge of that. Tonye-t (To for tithe) has accused me of being Kunle plenty of times just because we agree on lots of issues but he didn't seem to look at my time zone and compare it to Kunle's either. Na wa for NL folks oooooooo |
