FB is dulling if the number of friends you have is small and they are probably as dulling as you. Besides this thread has been started before under caption similarities between Facebook and Nairaland. What's next Twitter and NL ? |

They're are entirely different networks.Nairaland is strictly Nigerian and Facebook is just somewhere you could laugh off, though could be serious some times. |

Let me be a Nigerian and answer the poster's question with some questions. 1. Can you do Nairaland on your Mobile devise? 2. Can you link up with friends (i mean Friends) on Nairaland? 3. Do you have a personalised wall on nairaland where you can drop status updates etal? let me stop here for a while, you ponder on these questions then answer your post topic. alright? |

Nairaland is a very good innovation and is more of 'naija thing' however, it needs to do more in order to favourably compete with Facebook. Facebook membership is all embracing and more accommodating. In other words, the membership is matured and their language is controlled. It is an all-comers thing yet one can comfortably fit in and gradually get to meet people of like minds and orientation. I have, however, observed that in Nairaland, in as much as one would want to 'catch fun' as it is called on it, it is regretful that some immature members often seize this to pass uncomplimentary remarks on their fellow members. I, for so long a time, stopped 'visiting' Niaraland just for this singular factor. I will advise that members should be mindful of the fact that it is an open forum for rubbing of minds and exchanging of ideas between young and old and therefore be matured in our posts and comments. |

Facebook ke? Poster na wetin u dey think b4 u compare this kind rubbish? Facebook kor fuckbook ni. Nairaland is far far far more LIVELY and i say it again MORE L.I.V.E.L.Y than facebook, Even the bashing and co. Makes it more lively, The reason why facebook is of the hook now is because it has this NEW THING tag all over it, and that's why everybody wants to be among, If not for the games and applications, the site would have been long forgoten and labelled BORING, But I give them till the end of this year then e go become old skool to ppl, For those who find the bashing and the quarelling on NL immature, pls stay of those thread or sections u think u cant bear the insult that flows in there. Atleast there is enough section on NL that is made for the serious and matured minded ppl like you or u can go get a real life cuz the one you are all living is fake lifes! why? Becuz u cant come here and tell me that even in your real daily lifes u dont argue or quarell with ppl, U should see it as a normal thing, not to come to a social network site and believe that since u are a king in your village, u should be treated like one on NL, NEVER! , To cut the long story short, UP NAIRALAND FOR LIFE |

I vividly recall posting this thread sometime last year but it found its way into the trash can; a flaw of NL I also recall being banned for expressing my opinion on a business issue; another flaw of NL Too cut short the long story….NL stimulates my mind on certain issues and dispenses ideas to me while FB stimulates my vision, makes me reminisce about the oldies & enable me take pleasure in the present Conclusively, i like both as they serve different purposes |
