It is quite common for hobbyist to build robots (robotic arm, humanoid and vehicular) on arduino, raspberry pi platform, if you do not want to use the ready-to-mix (but limited) Lego Mindstorm or VEX platforms. Arduino and raspberry pi are great but you need a few break-out boards or shields to achieve seamless control (radio, wifi, bluetooth) while the inconvenience of tethering a power source to them or mounting batteries to power them while they last. The miniPlan is a robotic platform like other development boards that was created with the vision of having all robot enthusiasts to have fun working with robots without burning a hole in their pockets or their parent's pockets. It comes with its own battery pack and can either act as a Wifi access point for you to connect and control or make it to connect to your wireless network, thereby opening up a world of opportunities. In this thread, we will chronicle the build of different robots using the MiniPlan development boards. Bet it is going to be fun!!

Printing of the plastic parts will take about 10 hours as can be seen in the slicer's time estimator above, so we wait... |
