If you have someone you trust in lagos to come to our office and check the laptop. If he/she acertain that the laptop is OK, then they pay and send it over to you.

option 2
Send money to me, I send you the item.

Three factors influence laptop buying decisions

1. The purpose: what the laptop is to be used for. This should be your first thought while planning to buy a laptop - what do I want to use the laptop for?
If you are just into typing, watching movies, copying files, then you don't need some fancy Processor, even a dual core is just good enough for that - dual core processor means a 2core processor .
Mini laptops however are one Core (something lower than dual core), they can also serve same purpose neatly.

With mini laptops, it is one task at a time! which means you open more than three tabs then you are in trouble for speed. Dual cores tend to handle things like that better.

Where speed matters, you will need to step up to a 3 or 4 core processor- perform same functions as the dual core simultaneously with speed.

On the other hand, if you are into some heavy graphics job, y'know, video editing, intense gaming etc-you not only need a system with more than 2 cores, you also need one with a stand alone graphics memory (otherwise known as dedicated video memory) . Again, the kind of program you intend to run or the game you intend to play will influence the type and Series of graphics you need . What this means is that if the system 3 cores /4 cores and still carry a dedicated video memory, then it should be able to handle some level of graphics.

Note : many systems do come with integrated video memory. What this means is that there may be no indication of a dedicated video memory but the basic display adapters have a high memory that can handle graphics stuff. For example A pavilion 15, Core i5 with 512MB will perform less better than an Elitebook 8460P, i5 with Intel HD 3000 graphics.


2. Price : grin grin Make I no talk too much; factor 1 go determine factor 2.

3. Beauty of the laptop... Well if I were you I'll try and balance beauty and functionality. But most times that comes with a little " extra" cash and some don't come cheap.
