RE: Chief Iwuala replies Aic Akwarandu My Dear Hon. Iwuala, what you boost with, we gave you. I have read the response credited you on my recent write up, 2019: Ezinihitte In Focus. While I congratulate you for having the courage to speak out on behalf of APGA for the first time since 2015, I want to please remind you that my write up was restricted to those aspirants and anticipated aspirants of the PDP extraction. I understand very well that APGA in recent times has been faced with alot of leadership uncertainties owing to the legal squabble between Chief Victor Oye and our own Sir Martin Agbaso, Agadaga. I understand also that this could be the reason why the few APGA members of Ezinihitte extraction have not been able to show up on any issue concerning the hollowed chamber seat which is the most talked about within and even beyond Ezinihitte. I sincerely share in your difficulties and pray that your crisis will end before 2019 so that your party can once again appear in the ballot papers to make up the no of political parties in Nigeria, hence we all subscribe for a multi party system. Let me also commend you for once again depending your victory and "greater expectations" in APGA on some aggrieved members of the PDP who according to you will join you soon. It may interest you to know that all you have boosted with, we gave them to you. From Chief Martin Agbaso, the authentic National Chairman, to Captain Iheanaecho to Sir Ike C Ibeh and many others, they were all at one time or the other beneficiaries of the PDP. I may also remind you that Hon. Independence Ogunewe who according to me performed poorly, but appeared a failure to you was handed the party ticket in 2011 to contest for Owerri senatorial zone. At a time when another powerful member of the PDP, Sen. Chris Anyanwu came, the ticket was taken from Independence and handed over to Her, a situation fought legally by Independence before an agreement was reached somewhere at MCC road. These situations onece again confirms that all you have boosted with, all your days of glory were actually given to you the PDP. Notably, in 2015 also APGA made Capt. Emmanuel Iheanaecho, a great Son of Emekuku who his major achievement in politics remains the empowerment/employment He gave to his kinsmen while He served as a minister of the federal republic under the PDP. It's very crystal clear therefore that the renowned Oil magnet can not write a befitting political autobiography without given the PDP prominent pages and chapters in it. APGA is known for not protecting their candidates during election. These they have done on several occasions leaving their candidates in the "medias res". These development led led to the unfortunate situations where the likes of Hon. Magnus Anerenwa who was and still remains qualified for Ezinihitte state house could not be protected by even great party leaders like Chief Iwuala. Similarly, Capt. Iheanaecho could not also win His LGA, Owerri North thereby affecting negatively the chances of Owerri Zone in 2015. Unfortunately, they have started again. While I commend you once again for the courage, I urge you to in your next press conference appreciate the PDP for helping APGA grow. APGA's survival however depends on the people's Democratic Party both at the National and state level. I however wish to disappoint them for the race in 2019. The PDP of today is determined in conducting a very free primaries where those that did not win will still remain and support the party. A primary that will be credible. Kidos to the PDP State Chairman, Barr. Charles Chukwudi Ezekwem, for his determination against impunity in Imo PDP. Instead of chasing shadows, APGA in Ezinihitte, State and National level should concentrate more in building their party to a National party beyond APGA as an Aguleri, Mkpo, Obosi, Enugu/Awka political party. I must also once again commend some notable leaders in APGA. The Peter Onu's, the Magnus Anerenwa, and others, I urge them to embrace the PDP, let's consolidate the voice which the only opposition party in the state, the PDP has offered. Hoping that an Anambra party will deliver elections in Imo State is a mere dream which is very much different from the one Joseph the dreamer had in the Bible. There is no way we can discuss about our better prepared sons both in exposure, human capital development, financial empowerment, employment, community development service, and in many other ways. The PDP parades the best aspirants so far across the state as far as 2019 is concerned. Both Ifeanyi Amaechi, Oliver Nnayereugo, Akachi Alozie, Iyke Njoku, Abaa Maraoke and Ohiahuruagu are youth oriented leaders who will not joke with the mandate of the People. They have the fear of God in them. The reason is simple will succeed in 2019 is simple; the PDP led by Barr. Charles Chukwudi Ezekwem, Ikemba Okigwe is a party that will lead PDP to Douglas house. His integrity and dedication to service has placed him beyond measure. PDP will emerge, the youths will take over the development of the State. The best way to develop our rural areas in a situation where our LGA systems are not working is by electing quality representatives. They are part of the rurual areas. Representation is grassroot. Once you elect those who don't visit their places and those who have spent 50 years in overseas, you end up handling the recently introduced TAXIMO to a learner. That is double wahala for dead body. The PDP is solid. Ret the race begin. Aic Akwarandu writes from IFE/CHOKONEZE AND AKPODIM WARD 12. |
