It’s no news that Nigeria’s Baba Nla made history on September 29th, as he sold Out Royal Albert Hall, thus making history and becoming the first African artiste to sell out London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Great achievement!!!

The 26-year-old Wizkid no doubt impressed with his nearly two-hour set which saw him performing timeless hits like Jaiye Jaiye, One Dance, Ojuelegba and many more tracks from his latest album (Sounds From The Other Side) with a live band and no backing vocals. He had over 5k strong audience which consisted of a mix of Nigerians and others.

Yet, even folks from those other African and European nations sang every word along with him. It was history. It was emotional. It was the stuff legends are made of. But this achievement led to a speculation that he’s become better than the late Afrobeat King Fela Kuti, as some overexcited millennial blatantly declared. That wasn’t cool at all.
