As the device distribution continues, Npower has listed a number of states where military facilities such as army barracks and air force base will be utilized for device distribution. According to the senior special assistant to the president on job creation, Mr. Afolabi Imokhuede, the choice of army barracks and air force base was due to the fact that Npower's distribution partner, MTN Nigeria, lacked enough reach/facilities in those states and relying on them alone will "take forever"

The use of military facilities is a ramp-up operation to expedite device distribution. For example, It will be recalled that in Port Harcourt (River State), L.A Kings was initially used for npower device distribution and the inadequacy of the facility precipitated many problems that eventually led to the suspension of the npower device distribution in Rivers state. The issues ranged from violence to extortion among other. The problems were resolved when npower device distribution resumed at the air force base in Port Harcourt.

Having learned from this ugly experience, Npower has decided to nip such issues in the bud by utilizing military barracks from the very onset in distributing npower devices in the following states:

BENUE: (AIRFORCE BASE IN MAKURDI), OYO(MOKOLA MILITARY BARRACKS), WARRI (MILITARY BARRACKS IN WARRI),OSUN(ARMY BARRACKS IN EDE),
