TEXT:"LIKEWISE, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives."-1 Peter 3:1

A good wife should submit to her husband as unto the Lord Jesus Christ, because the husband, especially the responsible husband, is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, Ephesians 5:22-24. In God's hierarchy of authority in his family: God the Father is the head of Jesus Christ; and Jesus Christ is the head of the man; and the man is the head of the woman, 1 Corinthians 11:3.

Furthermore, a good wife's beauty is not an outward attraction of plaiting of hair, or of wearing of gold, and of putting on of expensive attires. But, her beauty is of a meek and quiet spirit, which is a great price in the sight of God. This was the manner of the women of old. Just like Sarah who obeyed Abraham to the extend of calling him lord.

In addition, a good wife is a virtuous woman, and her price is above silver and gold. Her husband trusts her because she will do good to him always. She is very industrious, and a giver. She takes care of her home, including her husband and her children, even her employees bless and praise her. She is an epitome of strength and honour. She is filled with wisdom and kindness. Her husband is known in the community because of her astounding qualities.

However, many women have done virtuously, but she surpasses all of them. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but she, the good wife, is a woman that fears the Lord. And she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:10-31. These are some qualities of a good wife. You can research for more qualities!
