They should f**king stop jumping into the middle of a major road to stop vehicles. I know of a situation where one jumped to face an oncoming vehicle going above 60kmph with his hands up to stop the driver. Seriously!!! 1 Like |

For all the clowns calling for FRSC guys to be armed.....do you remember what has been happening after the nscdc guys got armed There are too many "security" forces armed with assault weapons, subpar training and very terrible state of mind in Nigeria. |

My sincere condolence to the family. As much l sincerely condemn this act, carrying of arms by the courp members of the commision will only increase the rate of violent clahes and casualty in civil traffic management. A closer look at the case of the Nigeria Police, clearly shows that carrying of arm may not increase the safety bars of road safey personnels, rather this may place the commision on a position of frequent arms violence situation on our roads, considering the number of police men that have lost their lifes on duty in similar circumstances. Rather the commision must find a way to embark on the following, 1. The introduction of modern sophisticated traffic equipment and barriers at point of personnel road operations. 2. Tactical profiling of drivers and vehicles 3.Enforcement of laws at the point of drivers licence renewal 4.Publication of number plates of defaulting motorists. 5. Use of video cameras to record activities of defaulting motorist for arrest later or enforcemrnt of law at the point of licences or documents renewal. etc 1 Like |

Rest in peace Corp. However I have said it before and continue to say this. Government officials doing their job on the road such as VIO, road safety corps need to be careful and more civilised. His death is not only a sad one for the command where he works for but also a great loss to those innocent children he left at home and a traumatic one for the wife. When you are o n the road make sure you don't behave like the devil himself. Majority of them stand in the middle of the road just to stop a fast moving vehicle to extort money from them. They behave at times as if they are not part of brought up in this kind if environ where people behind the wheels behave abnormal. I just get sad when I see them jamming the express to say they are performing their duty. They don't give second chance to offenders, they just go ahead to book the offenders straight without any chill. You cannot see a military check point without notice, so that you can slow down before getting there. It's really a great loss even at this time of economic crisis for his family to loose him around this time. I think its also becoming too much from the federal road safety corps. The leadership needs to reorientate it's staffs that they are not a police nor military force. They should be more professional and decent in their dealings. Because we cannot continue to loose officers like chicken. |

Mztarstrechy:when he thought he could block a reckless driver on the road, What do u expect. I wonder why our law enforcement agents behaave as if they are not trained. How in earth do u think u can stop a moving vehicle because u are in FRSC uniform? It staggers my logical acumen. 2k bribe he wanted to collect has landed him in hell and will eventually take him to d lake of fire. Police and FRSC beware, Nigerians are hungry and angry, don't kill urslves by blocking moving vehicles. |

willibounce1: I do understand you. But from my findings, there desperation are borne out of the quest to meet target set for them. I bet you, if you were one of them, you would do the same. Besides, I am sure their not being armed make them use their body so as to meet target. If they are armed, traffic offenders would be more obedient to them as they are stopped. Nigerians getting obey traffic laws as it obtains in the western world to reduce the crash menace on our highways. |

So sad, calls to question safety measures and standard operating procedures the corp has incorporated to protect these guys, is it ethical for them to stand by the road side or try to force a vehicle on high to stop? These are pertinent questions to be asked when things like this happens. So sad! Please I need bit coin of just 10 dollars worth. Any body who can sell can contact me @ hamoye4real@gmail.com |

dokiOloye:You said it all. FRSC will come to a highway where vehicles do a 100km/hr to 150km/hr speed and use their bodies as wedge. And all they want is bribe. The FRSC guys do not even have the things they ask for in people's car in their personal and official vehicles. It is wrong to deliberately kill anyone with vehicles, but it is stupid to use your body as roadblock. |

I don't pity FRSC Officials when they go down this way, kill them all nobody says seeks for justice when they cause accidents that results in the death of people. lost two of my uncles because of these riff raffs told one of them to park for inspection, he parked, didn't attend to him for almost an hour cos they needed money despite all documents was complete, a tipper carrying granite crushed him to death cos they too wanted money and the so called officials fled the scene till now no justice. to hell with them |

greatjoey: Even if targets are set for them, they don't have to put their lives on the line. This particular FRSC officer is dead and life will move on. Whoever gave them target won't care. like is said, they have powerbikes they can use to chase whoever tries to resist arrest. The best the FG can do to help them is to attach at least 2 mobile police men to their team. FRSC should never be allowed to handle guns because they'll misuse it. FRSC should be more concerned about making sure that the roads are safe. they should ensure that they alert the government about pot holes. Nigerian roads are in very terrible conditions and FRSC is chasing vehicles looking for expired tire, fire extinguisher and the rest. I know that is part of their job, but they should be more interested in the safety of commuters on the road. Abi wetin be the meaning and essence of ROAD SAFETY when pot holes full every road. |
