When you've set SMART goals for your business, the next step is to come up with (marketing) tactics and tools that'll help achieve them.

For example, let's say your SMART goal for October 2017 is to generate 10 clients for your business, you'll need to list out the tactics and tools that will help you achieve that.

In marketing there are majorly two sets of tactics and tools. - Online and off-line tactics and tools.

In the online marketing spectrum where I play, the social media, search engine optimization, content (Video, text, audio, photos), use of influencers, e-mail marketing and other tactics play major roles in helping to achieve SMART business goals.

All these should be written down on a strategy sheet.

When you are done with setting SMART goals, outlined your tactics and drawn your budgets.
