Please someone should help, filling DS160 and I was asked if i have ten printed and i dont know weather yes or no. Got my visa 2015.

@allhavesinned, please how did you resolve the issue with retrieving your old application using your 'Application ID' because my dad is having a similar issue. He wants to renew his US visa and when he tried to retrieve his old application, its saying "No matching data found".

Please help urgently.

@AbujaNIV, @LagosNIV, please help.

My dad wants to renew his US visa and when he tried to retrieve his old application, its saying "No matching data found". We are 100% certain that we keyed in the numbers and alphabets correctly. How can we get around this please?

If it helps, he's 80yrs old, and his last US visa issued in 2015 got expired without use. Could this have any bearing on the situation?

Please help urgently. Thanks.

Hello house. I want to share my experience with you all and need some advice too.

My husband and I applied for visa on virgin passports and went for interview yesterday.

We were denied because we didn't prove to have ties to Nigeria which was child.

Now, my husband wishes to reapply, leaving me behind. Of course, to join him after some months hopefully. He is a web developer and has foreign clients. One of his top clients is a versed internet marketer in the US and is ready to provide everything he needs for him to come down to the US and work. Even to the extent of helping him with a work permit when he gets there.

We have sent him an invitation sample and he is working on it. To be honest, hubby wishes to work in the US and his employer is ready to do that for him. Going in with a B1/B2 visa (not work) and begin work permit process immediately.......Do you think he stands chances of approval? He will be applying in a month time.

Hello house. I was denied b1/b2 visa today.
Here's the transcript;
Vo: Good morning, passport pls.
Me; i handed it over
Vo: tell me about the conference
Me: i stuttered out of nervousness for the first few seconds of my speech, eventually i made my point (he was nodding his head as i was speaking)
Vo: have you traveled out of the country before
Me: yes to Ghana with my wife for our honeymoon.
Vo: are you married
Me; yes with two kids
Vo: do u have any immediate relative in the Us
Me: No
Vo: typing
Me: broke the silence and told him where i work and what i do( although he didn't ask me)
Vo; continues typing and finally handed me the blue paper.

What i feel i did wrong:
1.The ghana trip was on my expired passport and i didn't tell him. I noticed he flipped through my passport
2. I actually have an aunt in the us, whom my dad visited last year, but cos of fear, i said i didn't have any immediate relative in the us moreso my conference is in california while she stays in texas.
Pls all the professionals in the house, where do u think i missed it and whats the way forward for me. Thanks

Red Flags Sir. Stammering, answering to questions you weren't asked, lack of composure, lack of travel history and looking desperate. Ghana doesn't count as a travel history. Wait a year and reapply. If you can play around visit may be attend a conference in a first world country

Well said. He regaled the vo with his work duties. Maybe he should read proverbs 18 v 13. Also i see no big deal in disclosing his relationship with the aunt if there is no ulterior motive.

Let people finish speaking before you try to answer them. That way you will not embarrass yourself and look foolish.

It goes in two ways; Having two or more relatives who went to the US illegally and found there way around the system may be seen as a red flag by the VO

So you intend to abuse the visit visa and you were rightfully denied. Sounds about right. No one can advise you on how to break the law.

Irrespective of the fact that your Aunty is a citizen. They may want to know how she became a citizen . If it’s by birth or naturalisation, or whatever way. However if they find that it was through arrangee marriage and the likes it may be a red flag.
I prefer to apply for visit visas using hotel reservations as opposed to getting invitation from a relative

Seriously! Says who?
People have been denied visa with stamps from countries like Canada, Uk even USA.
Conversely, people with no travel history have been given US visas
If you have such travel history with your family and have not misrepresented in previous applications, 97% is you would be issued the visa. Based on transcripts we have read here, what is the percentage of people without travel history that were issued visa?

You did not miss it anywhere, but since it's for vacation, why not apply for a schegen visa and tour most countries in Europe. With one visa you can have travel history for Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, etc. That would be one hell of a vacation

How does he hope to get a work permit legally on a B1 visa? I think you need to ask the “top client” a lot of questions before you spend all your savings on a wild goose adventure.

What ties does this brother of yours have to Nigeria? Any travel history too? You seem to be mostly/mainly counting on your previous visa and its usage as the capital/leverage to getting him the visa, very wrong. He has to qualify on his own first to a large extent, that is most important. Your usage is your own advantage and can only minutely contribute to his advantage if other variables (ties) of his are good.... Don't forget the hurdles are always higher in most cases once the host is an immediate relative!
