The one thing they'll never do is to fight crime and protect people. They still mount road-blocks to "collect federal allocation"and innocent deaths through police stray bullets is competing the highest percentage with extra-judicial killings.

But on the picture, every force(including navy, army and airforce) has a social/music brigade which entertains his force on social functions,

What the NPF needs is a complete re-organisation,full professionalisation and massive recruitment of young and passionate graduates to swell its fold.

So if they dont fight crime and protect the people, then, what do they do, why do we need police officers in Nigeria then?

They protect and escort the politicians who steal from Nigeria's till. They harrass and sexually intimidate innocent girls leaving their main job unattended to.
The I.G(Onovo) recently declared that the current Police Force can not successfully combat crime.TDue to inadequate training, remuneration, and complete lack of passion and dedication to duty.

Thats all i need to know.

So that means we dont have police men and women then, if that is the case, why not fire them all and let us start over again
