ElSherriff: Mr man, Whatever you want to say. I have said my opinion and view and if you not happy with it, then am sorry go meet someone to kiss sweet melodies into your ears. Last I checked this is a platform for everyone to make a comment and next time when you want to insult me do it in English and stop giving your tribe a bad name. This is one of the reasons some people labeled your tribe 5% and show hatred. Rubbish 14 Likes |

Imagineers:truth hurt. The shop looks good but sadly, this is another shop on the street that will be struggling for customers. Like Y modulus said, it isn't solving any problem as such. Is it located in a place where people can't get shoes? If yes, it's solving a logistics problem which may be scalable. Fashion and FMCG "business" is about the hardest to survice with the presence of e commerce. Congrats to him. Very much better than doing nothing! 4 Likes |

Ymodulus: truth hurts... the types of business he is doing gives no room for innovation, however i disagree with the idea of not starting small... i had an idea around last year and i approached a lot of investors ... they were afraid to invest in it.. it was when i started with the little i had and they saw the profit ..that was when they all rushed in ( though it was temporary business ) talking about innovation .. he can't improve in this type of business except to expand his shop and buy more shoes ..that's all ... but this type of business doesn't have room for innovation |

Singapore1: Thank you brother. You see some people won't understand untill they get to experience things for themselves. There are two type of people. Those who learn from their experience and those who learn from others experience. In Nigeria when you tell someone something unpleasing to his / her ears. You are called names. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Singapore1:investors barely invest in startup businesses that do not have traction i.e users or paying customers- revenue. Yes, he has a brand, he can have his own e commerce store or sell on other e commerce stores. He can start producing footwears. Innovation does not necessarily equals growth but improvement will always equal growth. 4 Likes |

Jiang: Never should anyone listen to this type of advice to forget NYSC. as long as Nigeria is till concerned Nysc certificate is required and that One year is never a waste unless you choose to waste it yourself. There are many opportunities in life and one should never limit oneself, there is no you can ever apply for in Nigeria without Nysc, oil and gas, federal government jobs, banking, audit etc Also scholarships applications require NYSC cert. I'm sure you still remember Dino Meleye Pls endeavor to complete your one year NYSC and it's never a waste. That some people wasted their one year does not mean you cannot engage in meaningful things, learn and acquire skills. 5 Likes |

Ymodulus:average Nigerian is never hungry for creativity once they are able to feed 3 times daily, they are satisfied take ELON MUSK for example he started a company which he later sold to COMPAQ , if it's an african man that is where he would stop and start earning passive income .. he didnt stop there he went ahead and found x.com where they later merge with PAYPAL and sold for 300 million, that is what i called innovation ..again average african would have stopped, after selling to EBAY ...he took the bull by the horn and created electric cars the first successful business since FORD ..now hyper-lob and SpaceX i am using elon musk as an example because he is young .... 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Ymodulus: Nice one. I like when someone addresses an issue without sentiments. Sentiments has been the line between progression and retardation. Here in this part of the world, people are filled with sentiments and emotions that's why we are not progressing. I had a similar opinion but decided to keep silent as I saw others ushering praises, any contrary view would be seen as bad belle, jealousy, enemy of progress. It is highly commendable that he has taken the courage to start something, but what he has started may not be something new just another shop in the street. Perhaps more problem has just been created, more shops, more competition, more difficulty for even the buyers to locate their desires. What if the shoe business comes in a more innovative way, what if it can solve the problem of having less shops around but flexible accessibility? Otherwise, are we just going to have another shop with slow sales then which gradually withers as others have always done 6 Likes |

majekdom2: exactly what i am saying, but there are some type of foundation you lay that gives room for serious improvement, this is not the type .. talking about investors i have been there, truth is Nigeria is way way behind in terms of investing in an idea but that doesn't stop us from trying it shouldn't stop us from being creative ( it didn't stop me ) there are some kind of business that is short-term business, you do it once and for all and gerrout , but seems the op is not planning to leave this kind of business anytime soon which will be very bad for him in the nearest future 2 Likes |

Ymodulus: I understand where you're heading at that's exactly why i said unless he got no visions. I still believe he started well judging by his available finances and limited knowledge. You know sales is what keeps a company mostly... By selling first, he gets to know the in and out of the business So that when and if he finally launches his own brand, the probability of failure will be very low... Remember most entrepreneurs fail in their first few years, that's cos they started big on something they don't know very well. This his stage now is more like "learning trade" stage. As long as he's a focused person, there's room for innovation and significant growth in the future. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Maduawuchukwu:there is what we call luck ... there was a time people are rushing USA because they hear a lot of people are successful going to USA ... but that is a very wrong assumption take for example if 100 people apply for visa and were given visa ... obviously not all the 100 will fail we will see at least 20 out of 100 become successful .. the thing about success is that it spread faster than failure that is where you see news everywhere that you have higher chance of being successful if you travel abroad in search for greener pasture .. what about the remaining 80 same thing can be said for successful multimillionaires in market .. what about the number of unsuccessful one ..doesn't count ? why do we have to make plans base on LUCK ... luck should be extras now the probability of him being successful in this type of business is 1/200,000,000 maybe we all have different definition of success ... maybe eating 3 times a day conveniently is success |
