The current Operation Crocodile Smile which is ongoing in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria is experiencing lots of progress after the successful completion of Operation Python II dance in the South-Eastern region of the country.

Troop of the 4 Brigade, Nigeria Army in Benin said that about three suspected militants’ camp has been destroyed during continuation of the Operation Crocodile Smile II in Edo state.

Assistant Direct, Army Public Relatiions, Capt. Mohammed Maidawa said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria in the Edo state capital on Wednesday.

Captain Maidawa noted the location of the destroyed camp to be in Ajakurama in Ovia North East Local Government Area of the state, followed by another in Obaogolo creek off the Ovia River and Ekenhuan.

He dismissed claims by one Mr Esuene Peres that troops of the brigade invaded and sacked the Ajakurama community, describing it as malicious and unfounded.

The assistant director said on receiving the information, a cordon and search exercise was carried out in the community during which the militants’ camps were discovered alongside two buildings belonging to a suspected militant leader........
