NYRP: Has a ring to it. But bro you should state ur mission n vision.

Understand that everyone from (late) Fela to president Buhari knows Nigeria is bad that's why he travels overseas for better healthcare.

I usually don't comment here but will commend u even just for writing this..

Nigeria as its stands is corrupt n ugly..The youths don't even know themselves..nobody cares..pastors n imams are like God's.. What am trying to say is that Ur baby vision is good it's what we need n shld allow it grow.. But bro U have no idea what dealing with Nigeria will test u..i don't think u strong enough( I might b wrong) but imagine a country has oil but imports oil..we do the wrong things all the time too numerous to name..

Well we can't be this forever so we need thoughts like urs.. So think it through..

P. S.all those using words like Comrade n Revolution need to know the gravity of the words.

Thanks.

the more reason why i believe u'd stay around.

Awareness. There should be a rally in each state where, we will go to campuses, market places to inform masses that there is a new political party in town, organized by youths. We tell them it is time for youths to govern. "We are leaders of today, not tomorrow again, because tomorrow may be late".

There should be symposium to ensure members going for posts work and that should embezzle public funds, they should embark on profitable projects which party members in each state will also participate. They should be accountable (we don't want to be like the current crop of polithiefians.

I think we should set ambitions for the coming election year (2019). We should campaign for a substantial number of this party to get into State House of Assembly, Federal House of Representatives and The Senate. It doesn't require much qualification.

A time has come for YOUTHS to take OVER the leadership of this country. I am tired of having slow poked old men handling the affairs of this great nation. The job isn't suitable for their age. So let's make them understand that at their age, they need to concentrate more on being with their grand children. Let the YOUTHS lead. NYRP is not yet registered as a political party. I'd like to advice that even as we bask in the excitement of the possibilities that lie ahead, let's be circumspect not to overreach ourselves. There are procedures that must be thought through and followed. I believe that a strategy group would handle those accordingly. Please let us be guided!

You mean am not guided?

Something is called a party, won't they get it registered?

Am i overreaching myself by offering advice?

Did i say the rally should be now?

Maybe one should not even talk again.

If this kind of advice is tagged overreaching, then why bring up this party?

Foremost, I'd like to offer my sincere apologies, if my choice of words didn't go down well with you (or anyone else). We are brothers and sisters in this struggle. And I don't think I'd achieve anything by offending anyone here. I am truly sorry, bro!

However, I believe it is our collective responsibility to weigh our options very carefully. We all should understand that in addition to other dimensions, there are political, as well as, legal implications to what we are doing or intend to do. And so we must think ahead and proceed with wisdom.
That's all I was trying to say.

Please, don't take these words personal.

This is not an issue just a sugestion. Iets use the right words. more Importantly lets be tolerant of each other.

On the issue of law and registration we would get to that. Get the news to the world first so that we can have a wholistically inclusive outlock and better prospect once we finally step out.

I think there may be a need for more urgency actually, but of course, even urgency requires a certain amount of care and deliberation. Patience is also of utmost importance and as much as I would like to appeal for patience, we need to understand the country we live in. The truth is that Nigerian's have lost patience and if we don't have plans in place, we will look unserious to them. We are up against these vicious pythons called PDP and APC, who will be on the other side drafting all these policies that they come up with in the toilet. It's not that Nigerians have been stupid to accept their crooked promises, it's always because there is a hunger for change even if its one that is lacking in substance. Waiting is if we are pessimistic. Waiting is if we do not think this will work. …and most importantly; Waiting is if we don't realize that this is Nigeria and Nigerians are desperate. Optimism, on the other hand, is seeing ourselves at the finish line and then looking back at how we got there. If we don't have certain plans yet, we need to let people know why and when we can come up with the plans. For example, if we can't register NYRP because there are requirements such as needing more members, then that should be our response to anyone asking questions. Otherwise, if a Nigerian shows interest in the party and asks these same questions and we don't give them concrete answers; the conclusion of an average Nigerian in their desperation will be that "WE ARE NOT SERIOUS". Yes, there should be a need for patience, but we have to tick faster than a clock. The most important thing is that we must make our policies credible and workable, and without lies or deceit. But my dears, with the hunger and desperation in our beloved country, we have to be VERY FAST, even if it means getting into the Guinness Book of World Record for the party that has come up with the fastest workable policies, so be it. If we sleep or slumber, we risk waking up to 2019 with PDP or APC again.

Fact is:
Nigerians today don't hear wait
Nigerians today don't have patience
And sadly; Nigerians today don't know tomorrow

So this I think, is why most people are a bit in a hurry. So the question is, how do we do this, taking into account the impatience of Nigerians (thanks to our failed politicians), setting things up, the tasks at hand, mapping out our policies, and the need to hit the ground running. Nigerians are desperate, and desperate times will lead to PDP OR APC in 2019 if we don't make ourselves a credible alternative. That is definitely a concern we cannot ignore.

Not everybody is on twitter, some don't know how to use it.

In spite of hyping the party on social media, i still believe in physical approach.

So set things in motion for people in the same states and locality to meet up.

Every point been made so far is very important. In respect to that. I think the first major action should be establishing the actual process and mechanisms required for registration. especially the legalities, constitution or manifesto as well as numerical and other requirements. Of

1- A Political Organization, Forum, Youth Association or Youths movement etc
2- Political party.

With this detail information we can then see and decide were we can best agree to immediately start from. There is no time to waste and that's why I think within the week the way forward should be clear.
In as much as we need to be fast we also need to be objective and consistent.

Brilliant submissions!@lindabon

Going by the time table released by INEC, we have less than eighteen (18) calendar months to the elections (presidential, gubernatorial as well as legislative - national and states). And if #NYRP turns out to be "the party that has come up with the fastest workable policies", it would be all to our collective credit as Young Nigerians. And that may even boost mass appeal for #NYRP and go a longer way.

It is worthy to mention here, however, that we are not necessarily out to impress anyone, or so I think. Our goal primarily is to achieve unity of purpose and try to bring about an overhaul to the current system. Here lies a collective responsibility and opportunity for us to educate Nigerians along the way. We'd be teaching values and/or virtues, amongst which shall include patience. It would be awesome if we choose to run or fly to our destination, provided we achieve our set goals. But may we not get needlessly jumpy and pressured into adopting that dangerous mentality of pressing for "sharp sharp" results(quick action remedies). It is a Nigerian thing no doubt, and as a matter of fact, Nigerians are distressed, restive, impatient and living on the precipice, now more than ever. But, ladies and gentlemen, the walk to freedom is not always a hundred meter dash, it's a long one.
And you can not agree any less that freedom itself is a product of conscious and long term planning.

Therefore, in the interim, whatever plans we make now towards 2019 would only be short term and used as a litmus test, going forward. It is important that we understand the fact that beyond 2019, all factors held constant, there'd still be life, and there'd still be #NYRP. May we not be dismayed, may we continue to gather steam because we may need it soon enough, and may the seeds of our optimism continue to grow!

Pardon me, if this sounds like a lone voice in the wilderness, it may still pass for a #VoiceOfReason

To @ourchoice and all NYRP comrades,

The barriers have startedvshowing themselves like I envisaged. But we have to press on. We don't need to lose focus now though some bad elements want us to.

NO COMRADE of NYRP should negotiate with @RationalTV, from all indication he or she is here for a benefit which is money.

MARK MY WORDS if we incorporate this @RationalTV into NYRP we are all going to fall like pack of cards. That means our effort will have been in vain.

I want to re-emphasize here that ANY sensible Nigerian youth will shun monetary gains for now to pursue this just cause. @RationalTV coming here to state which position he or she wants in NYRP is an insult to all of us and to this just cause. "By their fruits you shall know them..."

We should ignore any pirated thread and focus on this journey. If @RationalTV is so popular like he said he should have become president by now...rather than look for selfish gains here. I will not sit and fold my arms and let him disorganised this movement. You might be a blogger some others here might be hackers...so be warned!

Dear comrades let's focus on the journey ahead of us. Share NYRP on your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and every platform you find yourself...do not relent in your efforts. For comrades who are ready to volunteer as representatives please fill the form by following the link on page 6 & 7. I must warn here that this journey will be tough, so if you are afraid of being intimidated by the politicians please remain as a member because surely they will use all means available to hinder this movement.

It is time we start serious deliberations across all the geopolitical zones. Transparency will be our watch word and ALL representatives will be chosen after collation of data under the watchful eyes of every member of NYRP. #Nobodywillbehandpicked

@ourchoice please DO NOT negotiate with anybody if truly you want NYRP to succeed. We are all behind you and this movement.

With the way things are right now I am suggesting that OURCHOICE, LINDA, AGROLOGISTIC AND TWO OTHERS should go through all the list of interested members IDENTIFY 20 of those that are ready to go so that the 20 can then exchange all the necessary contact of each other then establish a convenient mean of deliberating on all the requirements for registration atleast by this weekend LATTEST.

I can observe that blood is boiling from all direction we can do this. its an opportunity to strick and immedietly gain recognition which would be very vital moving forward.

Let's also seek for other legally incline individuals and body's as we move on. Pls guys let's get going and also let there be sufficient female representation pls.

At the same time let the publicity continue while also continue with the discussion here to keep up with the momentum. In addition. Let OURCHOICE LINDA AND 2 others VOLUNTEER WITH obtaining the contact location and details of every other interested member so that we can be able to know our numerical strength and were we need to make swift inroads to bring in more people because we MUST BE PRESENT IN ATLEAST 24 STATES BEFORE INEC WILL REGISTER US AS A POLITICAL PARTY. in addition to other conditions.

If anything let the debate continue. let's share our experience together we would succeed. God willing in on distance time we would be rewriting a new chapter of the only country we all know and call home.

Am happy this is gathering the needed momentum and I must congratulate my fellow comrades in this struggle. Personally, I have started sharing the message among my contacts and I believe it will go a long way. I must also point out that this race is not for the weak or the feable minded cos the goal is far more than what we could ever imagine thus it won't come cheap. I have never involved in politics and my line of work does not permit such, but if this movement will bring the much anticipated change we need to our Dear Nation then am ready to see this through till the end. Let's concentrate on sensitization on the various media platforms while the enlightened ones among us starts working on the blueprints to achieving this struggle. #say no to recycled polithiefians!

For sometime now I've been going through this thread, comments after comments and I must commend 'NYRP" for the merging of amiable youths from different ethnicity and norms toward the eradication of the problems that holds us captive in ignorance without the purpose of scaling through to reach the zenith of our greatness.
Our ‘so-called-leaders’ on different level whom most times found their way to the office without our consensus uses our money more than we use the toilet papers to invest outside the borders of this nation when the average brethren feeds with below 150 naira a day thereby creating more problems for me, for us .
Look at we the youths, they have been given ‘forcefully’ the title ‘LEADERS OF TOMORROW’ yet the decisions of ‘next tomorrow’ are made by ‘yesterday leaders'’. I have had enough. Am just tired of looking at them.
On this note I salute you all,Great comrades and youths who want positive change, who would offer more than their best to the growth and development of this great country. I see you LINDA,OURCHOICE,BABOSKY AND AGRO etc #keep the fire burning

After all plans are put in place, I suggest we have a physical meeting on Lagos at the national stadium or unilag on any Sunday ass agreed by the party. May God bless our effort and crown it with success.

On this note I salute you all,Great comrades and youths who want positive change, who would offer more than their best to the growth and development of this great country. I see you LINDA,OURCHOICE,BABOSKY AND AGRO etc #keep the fire burning

We are all behind you and this movement.

you have a good pointsmiley

103 days for treatment of an "undisclosed ailment"

103 days without our leader.
We elected him to be our leader. But yet, we don’t have a right to know his ailment? They don’t care about our cries or sufferings. They only care about themselves.
Nothing they do is done in the interest of the nation. We cannot be taken for this ride anymore. Our children deserve a better future.

I WANT US TO GROW TO THOUSANDS IF NOT MILLIONS BEFORE REGISTERING...I HAVE A FEELING THAT MANY YOUTHS JUST LIKE "@RATIONALTV" DID WILL ALSO WANT TO COPY. POLITICIANS WILL INCITE THEM TO COPY SO THEY CAN WEIGH US DOWN AND REDUCE OUR MEMBERSHIP STRENGHT....BUT WITH OUR STRENGTH AND NUMBER, THEY WILL BE DISCOURAGED.....

WHAT DO SAY OURCHOICE AND OTHER COMRADES??..WE ARE JUST OVER 200 MEMBERS NOW ON FACEBOOK...WE SHOULD HIT 10,000 OR MORE BEFORE THE YEAR RUNS OUT...IN FACT, WE CAN START ESTABLISHING OUR PRESENCE PUBLICLY WHEN WE HAVE GROWN..
