Three suspects, including the Director of De-Sholy Filling Station, Agbara, on Badagary Express way, Lagos, Wednesday, have been arrested over alleged illegal bunkering and vandalization of NNPC pipeline.

The suspects who are cooling their feet in the custody of the Special Task Force on Petroleum and Illegal Bunkering, Force Head Quarters, Annex, Lagos are Director of De-Sholy filling station, Agbara, Mr. Shola Afolabi, his manager Siyanbola Sunday and his supervisor, Adeniran Yemi.

A security source claimed that the suspects who were specialists in pipeline vandalization went to their nefarious duty, vandalized NNPC pipeline at Alimosho axis at odd hours on October 24, 2017 and syphoned petroleum product (PMS) into their truck.

THEMOMENTNG learnt that the suspects loaded the oil product about 45,000 litres into a truck No NLG 321XS and headed towards Badagry Express road.

Acting on tips off, The Inspector General Task Force team led by Superintended of Police (SP) Igbinazaka Ugowe of Anti-pipeline vandanlization, Force Annex, Headquarters, Obalende Lagos, moved into action and intercepted the suspects at DE-SHOLY filling station, Agbara Express way, Lagos with the truck discharging the product.

They were said to have been arrested at the scene of the crime with the driver of the truck, one Ola Adeyemi.
