Bayelsa Senator, Ben Murray Bruce has raised alarm over the presence of 28 containers at the Enugu airport. Bruce who is part of a Senate committee on Aviation paid a visit to the airport on Thursday along with other members of the committee.

He stated that the containers have been at the airport since 2014 and that no one knows what is inside them. He wrote;

"Currently, there are 28 mystery containers at the Enugu airport and no one knows what's inside. The containers have been here since Jan 2014."

He also lamented about the poor state of the airport calling it 'disgraceful'. He wrote;

"Senate Aviation Committee on oversight in Enugu airport. Disgraceful airport. Dirty toilets. Failed runway, approach lights not working. Crater on runway. Falling roof. Infrastructure is in a complete state of decay. No lounge. No rest place for pilots or crew. Yet contractor has been paid in full. With over N100billion annual revenue from the aviation sector, I’m speechless! DISGRACEFUL!"

They should hold Stella Oduah accountable on the area of decay on infrastructure of the airport. The woman was given 86billion naira to renovate and remodel the airport. Today we are still complaining about the airport

'We' will soon 'off-load' the content of those mystery containers and fix the Dirty toilets, Failed runway, approach lights that are not working, clear the Crater on the runway and replace the Falling roof.

As for the Infrastructure that is in a complete state of decay, No lounge, No rest place for pilots or crew, before the end of this year, we shall take care of them to ensure travelers who wish to use the airport are not inconvenienced during the coming yultide
