Following the inability of the British Parliament to intervene directly in the lingering political feud between President Olusegun Obasanjo and Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the British Government has referred the issue to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London which according to the British Government has the responsibility to intervene in such matters affecting former British colonies.
