The Rome Assize Court on Friday (October 27th) found a man guilty of transmitting the AIDS virus to 32 people while he knew himself infected. This is the first time a judgment of this type has been delivered in Italy. The public prosecutor was asking for a prison sentence for life. The defendant was finally sentenced to 24 years in detention.
