slowpoke! Bow down to your boss and beg for more knowledge and information. The total US. labor work force is 160 million and 7% is just over 11 million people. Meaning over 11 million people make over $100,000 annually and the other 150 million people make less than that. All the profession you mentioned are not even up to one million you dumb dotard. Now you sound so stupid and dumb for not paying attention when your maths teacher was teaching back in high school. You are a disgrace to education and should be sent to an animal camp

This is certainly some good advice. generationz, the only thing I would like to add is that – since you are new to it, for whatever language your choose, learn the basics first and master it! code, code, code!!! Learning programming does require you to spend quite a bit of time. So, the only way to be very good at it is to spend time writing code. In my experience, those that are good in math/problem solving tend to be very good developers. Do NOT go into this field because you heard it pays well, etc. Anything that pays well, will be challenging and not that easy to be good it. It it were easy, then everyone will jump into it. And that will bring the pay down.

PS. I will only respond to questions relating to programming in this thread. The argument about US VS Nigeria - To each it's own. I'd say do whatever works for you. For me, I studied CS in college and have been programming for a very LONG time. It's certainly a very good field to be in, if you are up to the challenge.

cruchenutii:

Sista, If I should advise you like you advised me on this same Forum. You should learns the basics of Programming First.

1. Conditional statements. 2. Loops 3. Basic Operations 4. Logical thinking 5. Features of Object Oriented programming like Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction, Encapsulation.

Further more, after learning all these. You should strive to learn IOS development for iPhone instead of Android.

The platform is more stable & Pay is relative 25% better globally.

Also Females have more advantage now in this field as at now. People will argue with this. But (If you know, You know) cheesy

I know for a certain Nigerians living in Nigeria are a thousand times better off than those in America. They regretted leaving Nigeria and are irritated by the constant news of people making it back home. glad to know you spend quality time replying and checking on me. Oya, lets start!.

First of all.....go down low grin grin

Seriously,

First of all you need to get a Google Play store account and become a registered Google developer.

So i will carefully outline steps to become a certified Android developer:

Step 1:
You need to register a new gmail account. You will need this account to create a Google Play Developer Console account

Step 2:

You need to have a minimum of $25 or its naira equivalent

Step 3:

You need to have a valid Debit card from any of the top Nigerian banks (GTB always works for international transactions)

Step 4:
When you have successfully created the Gmail account. visit this website:
https://play.google.com/apps/publish/signup/

Step 5:

Scroll down in the website and click the blue "Continue to Payment" button

Step 6:

Enter the required payment details

Step 7:

After the payment has been validated fill out the remaining required information like your phone number, The name of your developer comany. e.t.c

Step 8:

The payment takes about 48 hours to process. Congratulations! you are now an Android developer.

I would work you through skinning the app and signing the app with a release keystore key when you have successfully created your playstore account!.

Congratulations again!

If you are having problems with creating an account just follow this video step by step. Shikenna

Thanks a million Bros for taking your time to lead me through. I really appreciate you. God bless you beyond your expectations. I have finished the steps, and I am through with the registration now. All complete. Na next step I dey wait for Thanks once again.

Congratulations!:
Now you need to download Android studio

How to download and install Android Studio:

Requirements

- You need a minimum Intel core i3 5th generation laptop with at least 6gb of ram and no less than 30gb of free space running Microsoft windows or Linux (If you have a Macbook that's ok too)

Download
Once you have all these things in place. You should go to the link below and download Android studio.
https://developer.android.com/studio/index.html

Downloading Java JDk
Android studio needs Java JDK to run so you have to download the Java Jdk from the link below:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk9-downloads-3848520.html

After Downloading the Java Jdk install it before you start the installation of Android studio

once you have successfully downloaded android studio then you should go ahead and install it. When the installation is complete its going to start downloading some stuff from the internet. This would definitely take a while just be patient!. When the Android Sdk and co are finished downloading then you would have successfully completed step 2.

Lemme know when you have completed this step so that i can walk you through importing the project, generating a keystore and then publishing the app on the Google Play store!.

Alternatively,
i would suggest that for your 1st and 2nd app you should pay the developer to help you publish the app on the play Store so that you can start making money right off the bat. Then for subsequent apps you can learn how to publish them by your self!. Its always better to start easy and then walk your way up into more difficult terrain.

But if you insist,
Am always here to help.

You can always change your password! after the publishing. Infact initially you should use a generic usename and password like adminapp101. then after the apps are published you change them to your secret password!.

Also sir, the reskin and launch service by the developers is terrible. It is not easy going through this without help or great cash. The flash light App reskin and launch service is $249 (N82,000 or more). This can buy many apps. I also saw a game I am interested in buying, which is $149, the reskin and launch is $2,749, very outrageous. My Bros, it seems you will help me handle and launch the first two or three apps I wanna buy personally o. Biko, when you are less busy. I also asked this favor because my younger bro is already making jest of me, say I too dey jump for wetin I no know cheesy cheesy grin. Help a brother sir, it is a huge task not for a novice. Ok,
I have a lot of apps on the Play store. most of these apps are overdue for updates. If you can wait till Christmas/New year time i would def have some spare time on my hands. However if you can't wait you can easily employ the help of indie Nigerian android developers on the playstore!. Am sure they even won't charge you more than N5,000 -10,000 per app publishing.

Here are three Nigerian developers i found on the play store that might help. You should head over to their page, pick their email and shoot them a mail.

1 ZaidHbb ( I think he his from the north he also has a lot of Hausa apps on the play store):

3. Aikotech:

Alternatively, you can just go to the play store and search "Nigeria 2017" you would see many apps that were made by Nigerian developers. You can contact any of them and ask for their assistance.

Warning!:
Some of these developers will take advantage of you and also publish some of the apps you bought on their own account!. But in life there is a price to pay for everything!. So its worth the risk!....you dig?

Btw,
Don't mind your brother. If people don't mock you God can't make you. grin grin

Sorry man. In 2017 earning $100,000 is nothing in most places in America. After tax you will be left with just $68,000 to spend for the year. What is the average rent for a two bedroom in a place where upper class earner are supposed to live (Boston, Chicago, New York city, California etc)? That alone will cost you over $20,000- $28,000 on rent alone.
