I met someone in this same line of business last week and he was saying that all those Zenon houses we are seeing all over the place are just paper decorations and that banks have taken them all over. This only goes to confirm what the man said.

The rich also cry and they indeed are crying presently!!

I used to work on Nana and I can confirm it is a yacht as it's full title is MY Nana, the MY standing for Motor Yacht and that it is worth about £10 million not £20 million like someone said in a previous post. It's a Sunsseker Predator 108 as it's 108 feet long.
As for stories of Femi being broke? He definitely wasn't short of money when I was working for him in 2010
Hope that answers peoples questions
Re: Femi Otedola's Yacht by lucabrasi(m): 9:34pm On May 24, 2011
^^^^^ even if he was broke idont think that fact will be open to people outside of his inner circle and otedola wont be broke to the extent of not being a ble to spend a couple of thousand pounds to service the boat
Re: Femi Otedola's Yacht by Mk1ng: 9:41pm On May 24, 2011
^^^^^^^^^ It takes more than a few thousand to service the yacht and I do have some inside info from my friends who still work for him in Lagos that he is on the verge of odering a new bigger replacement yacht. However I do admit that he may not be worth as much as he was say in 2009 due to some bad business deals and an ongoing expensive argument he has with Dangote.
Re: Femi Otedola's Yacht by Nobody: 10:36pm On May 24, 2011
Doesnt make enough sense to think that Otedola is broke enough not to afford a yacht and its servicing. undecided

inside infos from friends/workers are usually ego talk, the dude is just recovering and flexing muscle under Jonathan, you need to get inside info from the banks!

i meant a few thousand pounds not naira, let him order it first obviously people working for him will be fed these sort of line so there wont be any dissention or panic amongst the ranks of staff
Re: Femi Otedola's Yacht by Mk1ng: 10:17am On May 25, 2011
I meant pounds. The fact that Nana doesn't fit under the bridge and so has to all the way round Ikoi and under the 3 mainland bridges just to get out to sea which costs about £500 each way proves that it costs more than a few thousand quid just to service. But I'm completely agree that he is flexing now Jonathan is president.
As for the inside info being ego talk from my colleagues or to prevent dissention in the ranks is nonsense. Cos that's not how things work at all. If he gets a new boat it might not necessarily be in Lagos as we all know about the troubles his current boat has with height under the bridges and depths in the lagoon, so that means if they want to stay working for him the crew will have to move which they don't want to do.
But I guess now Jonathan is president better things could on the horizon for Femi, so we'll just have to wait and see,

Take away the multinational empires, the multi-million dollar toys and the gargantuan egos, and the obscenely rich are just the same as the rest of us ha ha ha.

I imagine that anyone with the chutzpah to dock a luxury yacht in Lagos will already be used to beating back relentless boarding attempts by bikini-clad nymphets, seeking to overrun the vessel and force-feed the crew with Viagra for evenings of wanton maritime debauchery.

The owner of that woman homing device innocently referred to as a yacht knows that with pleasure water-craft,  size does matter, and one can never have too big of a boat, especially when price is no object.

Well I hope someone who needs to hear this reads this.
1. Otedola owns 2 Sunseeker predator 108 which cost about £3 million each.
2. Those boats spent most of their lives being rented out across Europe.
3. I’m a British journalist & I’m very certain Femi Otedola is not “broke” and the data is there as proof.

I don’t know why Nigerians demonise wealth but chase is so much. It baffles me truly. Almost all the comments in this space are critiques of no relevance and even on a level of leisure or entertainment they’re just distasteful. I’m half Nigerian and I grew up around this hypocritical form of thinking and as I got older I came to understand how it has hindered the society as a whole. We can do better. Each person in their own little way can add meaning to platforms like this and Nigeria as a whole.
