Fhemmmy: Removing Maurice Iwu would not bring about credible elections in 2011. What would do such is solid and credible electoral reforms backed by law, and actual implementation of those reforms followed by prosecution and sentencing of any offending parties that go against that; and of course, people actually making sure their vote is counted. Maurice Iwu should go yes, but removing him would not be the end of the problem. He could be argued to be a disagreable symptom of the fundamental rot in the system that has to be fixed. |

aisha2: Hallelujah to the King of Kings - Please manage your expectations - Jonathan has a poor track record in area of service delivery. Dont be surprised if more vampires replaces the former vultures |

blacksta:My dear, those people were worse than vampires and vultures combined and they committed all attrocities because they knew yarAdua was too weak to curtail thier exceses. My dear, am privy to some information and i tell you, and am sure u know me enough to take my words, these next 11 months is going to be serious work, Good luck wants to do right, he has decided to do right and retire peacefully. I am not just talking |

mahal: I guess it looks that mass non violent protest is working - or does Jonathan have a secret agenda - The fact remains " it is easier to carry evil acts when surrounded by like minded people" -, " I am sure we are aware the former ministers bar a few where a treat to Jonathan |

Ok ok a glimmer pf hope there!! Now Donald Duke for president please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has vision and is active!! Donald Duke is our man now!!! Every educated Nigerian wants him. Every one in the South wants him. Every young person in Nigeria wants him. We have seen his vision and we share the same. Donald Duke for president. Maybe Fashola as vice even though I don't like Fashola but no other person could compliment the presidency of Donald Duke more than Fashola right noow. That is a winning ticket if Fashola and Duke are on it!!! |

In my opinion pending the appointment of the new cabinet, if there is anything good to happen again in this country the oppourtunity lies on the Jonathan's shoulders. PDP has publicaly decleared Jonathan will not be given a chance to contest coming 2011. This will give Jonathan a good hand to conduct free and fair election coming 2011, since the election shall not be in his interest. If Jonathan did not give free and fair election then the American prophecy would be realise. If i'm in Jonathan's position vote must be count regardless of the peril. |
Re: Federal Executive Council Dissolved by biina: 12:31am On Mar 18, 2010 |
Lets wait for the replacements, and see them delivering, before shouting hallelujah. This is not the first cabinet reshuffle in Naija |
Re: Federal Executive Council Dissolved by marvix(m): 1:27am On Mar 18, 2010 |
Majority have commended Jonathan on this bold step but I kno dat d moment some people who they want in d new cabinet fails to make it to d cabinet Goodluck will change to Badluck and Jonathan wil change to Jonaclueles and Jonadonothin. For me he has always had my support right from when he quietly set d whole cabal up by not rushin to be in charge even under provocation he refused to be provoked even when everyone thot him a weaklin I knew him as a man of purpose and he has and is playin politics d way it is supposed to be played that is doing what u want witout animosity allowin people have their say and he then gets his way. This is just d beginning look forward to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for PRESIDENT 2011. A lot of things may be achieved by GJ but Yaraduas achievements should not be denied and anything Goodluck achieves would be as a result of the foundation laid by Yaradua. God bless d President, God bless d Ag President and God bless Nigeria |

This Acting Presido is surely a good disciple of Robert Greene's 48 Laws of Power. Underestimate this guy at your peril. |

PapaBrowne: Are you serious? Don't overrate the guy. Lets see if his new Ministers are approved. You making it seem like he is some Chess Master. |
Re: Federal Executive Council Dissolved by PapaBrowne(m): 3:18am On Mar 18, 2010 |
jumobi1: David Mark has the Senate in his hands! David Mark is working in tandem with OBJ & Jonathan. The approval will be an easy ride except it has folks like Ribadu and El Rufai on the list of ministers. But I think these two guys(El Rufai & Ribadu) would come in as special advisers- they wouldn't need senate approval. |
Re: Federal Executive Council Dissolved by donsteady(m): 6:13am On Mar 18, 2010 |
Robert Green 48 laws of power, I guess Johnatahn uses law three of 48laws of power here it is bellow CONCEAL YOUR INTENTION: Law 3 page 16 Keep people off balance and in the dark by never revealing the purpose behind your actions. if they have no clue what you are up to, they can not prepare a defense. Guide them far enough down the wrong path, envelop then in enough smokes, and by the time they realize intention, it will be too late. Note: if at any point in the deception you practice people have slightest suspicion as to your intentions, all is lost. Do not give them the chance to sense what you are upto: through them off the scent by dragging red hearings across the path. Use false sincerity. Send ambiguous signal, sep up misleading object of desire. Unable to distinguish the genuine from the false, they nonnot pick out your real gold. |

Mr Acting President,i cannot congratulate you for the delay in doing this now. Some will see it as being prudent, but many of us see it as being delayed.Your experience so far in both at the state and federal levels should be enough to allow you the leverage to proceed faster than you are currently doing. Let no Saraki nor Ogbulafor talk you into toeing their scheme please.Let the Nigerian public be the decisive court in your actions because they are the absolute constituency.Your job is clear cut. You have no time and so set a team of competent professionals to actualize specific time bound objectives to lay the foundation for a New Nigeria.Take the bull by the horn. Goodluck |
Re: Federal Executive Council Dissolved by Olaolufred(m): 10:09am On Mar 18, 2010 |
Why did Dora Akunyili, the former minister of Information and communication, give her usual briefing following the FEC meeting? Jonathan probably gave her some sort of assurance that she'll return to her post. May be, because she is the Information Minister. Simply dishing out official Infos as her work demands. |
Re: Federal Executive Council Dissolved by Olaolufred(m): 10:32am On Mar 18, 2010 |
Goodluck seems to be taking positive steps to me. The kind of mysterious abra-ca-dabra that some ministers performed on Yar'adua's Illness shows the need for their sack. They were so confident to the extent of playing down on Jonathan Just because of "wetin man go chop". If we must move forward, Yar'adua debacle must first be laid to rest. And the First step to that is the Sack. I know some of the ministers will be back, but Yar'adua' loyalists are not likely. Let us watch as things unfold. Credible election is one major thing I think Joe should try to deliver in 2011. |
Re: Federal Executive Council Dissolved by Nobody: 12:12pm On Mar 18, 2010 |
GEJ needs to do mainly two things, get the Uwais report pass by the NASS and rule the country fairly to all section of the nation. I have a huge feeling that our votes might just return Jonathan to the presidency come 2011. |
