My Memorable Journey On Social Media by Martin0(m): 5:08pm On Oct 31, 2017
It has been a memorable journey on Social
Media through which I have met a lot I could
possibly would have never met. I have also
been reunited with those that have been
separated. Like life itself, everything that has a
beginning must have an end. The end has come
to my unsolicited opinions on Nigeria affair
accepting that part of Prayer of Serenity to
accept the things I cannot change.

I love the country Nigeria but must accept
nothing I do can make any difference. Some
stonewalled have made themselves the rulers
and controllers of everything and are totally
immuned from feelings of their citizens. It is a
pity after 58 years we have not gotten any
definitive programs for our citizens be it
health, education, social welfare, infrastructure
or defined economic stand.

The greatest culprits are my immediate
constituency the Southwest. Where is that that
make Yorubas shinning lights of the nation. We
now live in delusion whereas we are not better
than any other group. Odua Investment used to
own over 150 companies but none is in
existence today. These companies were not run
by Hausas or Igbo but Yoruba people. Our
states are owing workers like any other states.

We fight over mundane and petty issues.
Our
education is in shambles from Primary to
University. In the entire country only 2 Yoruba
states cannot keep a jointly owned University
opened for an academic year. Our roads are as
bad as can be found anywhere. Creativity is
totally not in existence. In the name of
generating revenue some states have become
killers with all sorts of taxes, fees and yet
nothing tangible can be seen of the use of such
money.
Yorubas have been made to accept
mediocrity as standard and sharing of peanut is
the hallmark of the so called leaders. Do you
know if Odua has been run by people with
vision it should have been big enough to
finance the Governments through her
investments. The Yoruba leaders are active
participants in killing local governments
because the leaders do not wish to have people
to challenge them but will rather install their
surrogates.

We have good numbers on paper of
Educationists yet our education is in shambles.

While majority of schools are in state of
disrepair, yet some Governors will embark on
elephant projects running states like their
personal estates.

We have good numbers of medical
Practitioners and yet no single functional public
hospital in the entire Southwest. There is no
health policy or program.

We are in the age of knowledge that create
wealth and yet nothing of creativity has come
out of the West but just blaming the center.
I have thought about all these especially about
my constituency and came to conclusion that
since my opinions do not matter, I must stop
engaging in delusion. I can never take part in
politics therefore I will refuse to continue to
talk to the wall.

There are lots there that are younger and far
knowledgeable that we continue to be there.

I wish these gentlemen and ladies all the best in
their endeavours. I have interacted with many
of you too numerous to mention by names.
I will continue to read those light hearted
postings which I enjoy a lot.

Thanks to all my nice friends out there.
