Fire guts Access Bank in Lagos

Property worth millions of Naira were reportedly destroyed when a commercial bank, Access Bank, sited in Ikotun, Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos state, was gutted by fire on Tuesday.

Eyewitness disclosed to the Guild that the fire started at about 4 pm when commercial activities at the bank had ended.

It was gathered that the thick smoke oozing out of the building further attracted residents of the community who also assisted the bank officials in contacting the Lagos state emergency rescue team.
