The victim, according to the Nigerian Tribune investigation, was shot dead in front of his father's residence, on Ode-Lemo road, Sabo, Sagamu.

His father, the late Chief Saanu Ogunsanwo, was a one time local government chairman in Sagamu Local Government Area of the state.

The deceased, popularly called "Simpata," was said to be a prominent member of one of the groups.

It was gathered that Kehinde's death had brought the number of those killed since the violence started to six.

Nigerian Tribune learnt that four people suspected to be cultists, armed with guns and other weapons, stormed the Ogunsanwo's residence around 8.00 a.m on Wednesday, to carry out their mission.

Kehinde's assailants, according to an eyewitness, drove in a Nissan Quest space bus to his house, carried out their acts and ensured that he was dead before they left.

The witness told the Nigerian Tribune that the activities of these cult groups had become rampant, despite the efforts of the vigilance group in the area.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Muyiwa Adejobi, when contacted, confirmed the incident, adding that policemen had been deployed to the area to restore normalcy.

He said the police had taken up the matter and the area commander had been ordered to make sure the cultists were fished out.
