patches689: All the air defense guns on Valour frigates are useless against F-7 jet, NAF attacks from amid-ship over deck, all your guns are limited angle of elevation and unable to fire at target on the perpendicular to the deck. I have 3 different angles and positions to attack your ship if I want to use 6km range rockets. Carpet-bombing a huge sitting duck warship when my jet has ground search radar, is an easy ball game that will cost you your entire navy fleet of frigates in one day....SAN will cry....Zuma will cry....widows will cry.....Soweto will cry.... . |

agaugust: Again, you sprout the same nonsense F-7 has nothing to attack the valour class with our CIWS has not only AHEAD but closed-loop targeting It could shoot a cigarette out of your pilots mouth and leave the plane and pilot completely intact if it wanted to |

MikeCZAR: A gun is useless against target that is outside gun range, even if your gun has golden bullets. Show me proof of maximum anti-air target range of your Dual gun, the only source I see is your mouth . |

agaugust: hahahahahahahah no, that is not a knee mortar And it has many names, the Europeans call it a commando mortar Yours has a sperate base plate and a bi-pod Its not a knee or commando mortar |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 4:23pm On Dec 15, 2014 |
agaugust: Again, that is most certainly not a knee mortar. Light mortar yes, knee mortar no. Pic related, knee mortars - high mobility ultra light mortars that can be deployed on the move without the need of carrying a separate base-plate, bi-pod and sight 2 Likes

agaugust: This guy Implying that air-defence of modern vessels is the same of air-defence of 1980's ones He also conveniently forgets that Argentina lost over 60 aircraft during that war, 17 to naval vessels alone Furthermore, the Naval vessels took their biggest losses while they were in a narrow channel, limited their ability to maneuver, employ long range weapons or detect incoming aircraft at max range Joke |

jln115:at this stage, plotting coup isnt feasible anymore, any power crazed coup plotter would find himself at the serious end of AU/UN's rifle, arrested and whisked away to the ICC before he can even plead for mercy.the best way to sieze power is to dance to the current tune, until power gets to your hand. |

agaugust: Valour Class can detect your F-7 180km away It will position itself so that the guns are facing the target And do you think there will just be one? Multiple Valour class in overlapping feilds of fire Carpet bombing is not a viable solution - hence why the Argentinians did not do it in the Falklands And what are these magical 6km rockets you speak of yet are unable to post? |

MikeCZAR: Nigeria has a guided missile frigate undergoing refit . F-7 jet can sink a frigate for now till Aradu is back from mid-life refit . |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 4:34pm On Dec 15, 2014 |
agaugust: Nigeria has a Frigate rusting on the quay-side F-7 doesnt stand a chance in hell against the Valour Class Also: See how you allways talk about us attacking you, because you know that we can strike at you and that you cannot strike at us. Hence, we have force projection and you do not 1 Like |

patches689: All these are long un-necessary stories. They are both light enough for a commando to strap any to his back. So, what's the difference? |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 4:36pm On Dec 15, 2014 |
patches689: No emotion, just that your source does NOT say you have it. SANDF has no single piece of AHEAD ammo, NO source in this world ever said you bought it. FACT ! . |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 4:37pm On Dec 15, 2014 |
Henry120: No, your version has to be carried by 2-3 men Ours can be carried by one Your version has to have its base-plate dug in, ours does not Your version needs to be assembled, ours does not Yours needs to be operated by 2 men, ours can be operated by one Ours is a high mobility, quick deployment asset. Yours is just a small mortar, with all the disadvantages of a mortar and none of the advantages of a commando mortar |

agaugust:Commando mortar refers to a class of infantry light mortars designed for maximum portability and rapid deployment, at the expense of accuracy and repeatability. Commando mortars often feature design simplifications such as straps instead of bipods, carrying handles, and limited aiming equipment. Some commando mortar straps are marked with measurements, with the intent that the mortarman step on a marked point of the sling and pull the sling taut, at which point the mortar will be angled so as to fire to the range marked at that point of the sling. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commando_mortar Why didnt you just use google you dimwit? |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 4:43pm On Dec 15, 2014 |
patches689: LOL, that's an SANDF design knee mortar below, does Nigeria's AGL look like that of SANDF ? Are they from same manufacturer? The simple proof of knee mortar is that it's knee height so you have to go down on your knee to use it, the Nigerian knee mortar is knee height and the soldier is down on his knee to use it. You are dull like a dullie , worse than Baba Suwe ! . |
