lezz: @Lezz Your attempt at replying my post reeks of desperation. Let me quickly add that this scope of international politics is beyond your league. You aren't sound enough so it takes you up to a week to try to level with me by employing half-baked facts backed by little international awarness. As someone who knows a lot, I guess this is a promise that you wish to solemnly give us facts and nothing but facts so help you God!! During the ivory coast presidential issues, ecowas had already asked gbabo to step down and blacklisted his government from ecowas. Military intervention was being discussed on the table. ECOWAS actually begged UN security council to sanction Ivory coast, I have that on good authority, any reasonable country will see it as a sign of weakness on a regional power broker, what I don't know is the fallacy in bold, can you prove to this honorable house that ECOWAS blacklisted Ivory coast in 2011? Let me remind you that you claim to know too much as such, to get the evidence won't be a problem, please do not tactically maneuver out of this for any reason whatsoever, it is either you are proving or you are shutting up completely. I will neither read nor respond to any other gibberish that doesn't have the proof i asked for. Nigeria wasn't sleeping over the Libyan crisis. I weep for your pathetic sense. You rush to play Mr. Know it all, to teach us what you yourself have not finished understanding. Even a Pharisee has got a better tact than you. Nigeria said they are not interested in a United states of Africa likewise Most successful economies in Africa at the time, SA, Morocco, Egypt Kenya etc, Nigeria never posed a threat to his plan in any visible way, why did Ghadaffi not propose the break up of Egypt, SA, Kenya, morocco and other uninterested African nations? The USA equally made same prediction, is Ghaddafi the president of the US? instead of fixing culpability where it belongs, you are deluding yourself, have you bothered to find out why two nations with superior intelligence gathering capabilities gave Nigeria a tough verdict? Nigeria wasn't the only country that rejected Ghaddafi's plan there were other countries, so why was Nigeria the only bulls eye? based on the above facts, Ghadafi's unfortunate prediction had nothing to do with his failed plan, only a beer parlor political analyst will make such naive connection. To be fair if you believe that Ghaddafi proposed the break up of Nigeria because we refused United states of Africa, table your proof here, you saw how I proved mine, prove yours that same way, keep it concise and brief, any strenuous analogies and unverifiable claims will NOT be read. I never said Nigeria was meditating in the Libyan crisis. I emphasized that Nigeria officially recognised the tnc, while south Africa was barking ay NATO. Stick to facts not cheap blackmail. Naa, it was an oversight not a blackmail, you are no where near people I may be tempted to blackmail. Nigeria had been a power broker in Africa since her independence. Intact it was only in GEJ regime we started looking inwards. That you exported your professionals because the institutions in your country has collapsed, does it mean you are a power broker? Majority of our doctors who left for Saudi Arabia in the 80's went to make money because they were earning less in Nigeria nothing more, can you in clear conscience assume that Nigeria is a lord over Saudi Arabia because our doctors took refuge there?? I expect an answer here too. South Africa isn't the brainchild of AU. It was was ghadafi. YOU ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT. Who was the first chairperson of the AU? one single answer of a name and probably date, any other strenuous crap will not be read. Bakassi was settled legally by the international court. Nigeria led by example and didn't use her might to swallow Cameroon. You said Chad is liberating Nigerian towns. Well Chad liberated 3 Nigerian town in their own border while Nigerian liberated 43 town in 2 weeks in an erea the size of Belgium. Nigeria had no intention of handing over Bakassi even after the ICJ verdict, here is my proof; According to obasanjo's book titled "Presidential legacy" published in 2013 and reviewed by Donald duke whose land was taken had this to say; “The French President made it clear to us that it has put on alert its military and showed us the entire position of our military and exactly where we were and our daily movements." Now, you see how i put forward facts to disprove your diplomatic concoction on why we obeyed the ICJ order, we obeyed because a superior fire power who finds it morally right to honor the defence pact she has with cameroon by putting a gun to our head. After this clear act of cowardice and chicken heart, who does Nigeria have a defence pact with at the time? is that how you want to be a "regional power broker"? Power broker that ordinary Cameroon can muscle away anytime? self delusion is not a crime though, enjoy your buffoonery. Any time you are not ready to articulate facts the way i am doing it, I will not read it, the proof above is evident that you don't follow the news, after work, you sit with iya basare to take ogogoro and discuss kitchen politics, now tell me, who is an Embarassment? Also you said Nigeria isn't a threat to Libya, you need to stay away from google and get real education. Libya can't challenge any African country in the north which comprised fellow Arabic countries, so she looked into west Africa and Chad her immediate neighbour came into play, so she attacked and tried to annex Chad. Now Chad is in the lake Chad basin coperstion with Nigeria as well as an ECOWAS country which Nigeria oversees. So how could we not be a threat? From what you explained though you are too lazy or bereft of any fact to support your claim, I can only deduce that Nigeria was a softer target, a walk in the park rightly put, I don't know the date of the Chadian invasion by Libya, never mind that you are too drunk not to present that, however, if I had the information, I would ascertain their military capabilities by credible ranking, that way, we will know who is really a threat to the other, in the absence of that, both of us are merely speculating and I don't engage in such unintelligent theatrics. Let me educate you right now, France is uncomfortable with Nigeria's hegemony in west Africa and is on all cylinders to bring division between the aglofone and francofone countries. But you wouldn't know. Please dont give us half baked education gotten from Oshogbo roofless classrooms, when you say France is uncomfortable with Nigeria's hegemony in Africa, you should be able to prove that with verifiable events. I continue to warn you, this place is not your village meeting where anybody can make any blank statement and feel cool You said Egypt, Algeria and morocco are white/arabic. NO!!! They are Arabic. How else would you explain taking this long to respond? Maybe my statements had you enrolling in a crash course in political history. And don't you ever recycle old posts to me again. Sawdust brain. jln115: Even the virtually non-existent Somali Navy has a blue camo. The South-African Army only has 1 camo pattern, what this means is, in the many other types of terrains around the world, your troops would stand out and get picked out like fire-flies. Your STF is a Police unit. Blue camo, every nation with a navy has that. The individual who picked green for your S.F should be shot, Stalin style, what a r3tard. How do you deploy troops in Green in a desert terrain, how would that work out? I showed you U.S troops in combat with mis-matched Camo. 1 Like 1 Share |

MikeCZAR: Do you read world news at all ? Nigeria was the first country in the world to land an army in Sudan Dafur, Nigerian soldiers stopped the Sudanese supporter of APC militia from continuous mass räpe and murder of black Sudanese girls and women . Other countries were watching the Arab on Black genocide and did NOTHING to stop it, until Nigeria forced the UN to mandate our gallant troops to fight in Sudan and we lost almost a platoon of troops in a night attack on our camp by supporter of APC militia during our peace enforcement mission. Where was South Africa when no country wanted to stop the genocide in Dafur? ECOWAS was led by Nigeria to deploy troops in Mali, but the new Malian military government refused Nigeria's offer of help, they chose France instead. We had to wait and observe. France then called in Nigerian army to deploy in recce and garrison role in Mali. Nigeria did it's part well in Mali and Sudan. South Africa refused to save the people of C.A.R from the hands of Seleka rebels, all because SANDF saw 15 coffins of parabats and refused to ever return to Bangui and save their helpless and weak African brothers and sisters suffering there. It's a dark history of betrayal that cannot be erased from South African military history. Cowards for ever !!! . 1 Like |

Also as a half northern Nigerian I can confidently tell you that its seasonally very cold between 7 pm to 7 am in the region, if those guys are going to fight during that time, its mostly dark and green sweater is safe. Henry120:Dude!!Did you even read @Agaugust post i was responding too?He said no SANDF unit has blue uniform/camo?I know almost all navies have blue uniforms!!I was just pointing out were he had f@cked up!! "Your STF is a Police unit" I have posted fact and pics about them multiple times, the reason i included them was becuase they receive the same basic training as our SFs and have worked along side our Defence Force on multiple occasions like in Lesotho. "The South-African Army only has 1 camo pattern, what this means is, in the many other types of terrains around the world, your troops would stand out and get picked out like fire-flies." We are never going to deploy anywhere but Sub Sahara Africa, thus the Soldier2000 camo had gone threw years of development for the sole purpose of being effictive in all Sub Saharan terrain. "How do you deploy troops in Green in a desert terrain, how would that work out?" Go ask your troops in the NE! "I showed you U.S troops in combat with mis-matched Camo." Firstly how do i know they are in combat and not in a training exercise,Secondly I only see two different Camo patterns as they could be in different units,I dont see 10 like your soldiers. |

agaugust:Firstly its not an APC, it just a Land Cruiser, "I can confidently tell you that its seasonally very cold between 7 pm to 7 am in the region," So they dont have a standard jacket that matches their uniform like the SANDF? "They can remove it if daytime duty calls and they need to dismount from that APC" If the enemy sees you then its to late!!Now if they had a standard jacket that wouldve not been a problem. And BTW its daytime! |

jln115: SANDF has a small 50,000 man army with only one type of camo , so one sweater or jacket is easy. Try raise a large 130,000 man army like Nigeria and 3 different camos plus 3 different sweaters then multiply the money cost of production. The 4 guys in the photo are not fighting at that time, they were posing for leisure photos likely inside their base, they even removed their helmets, the way you have obviously removed your brain and I have to do your thinking for you . |

Also our SFs have their standard Soldier2000 camo they received when they first joined the SANDF before they were selected for the SFs regiment. They are also trained for Land and Sea operations and thus are more or less the same in terms of the operations they conduct to the Navy Seals, were as the Brits have a separate SBS that conduct Sea operations. They are also issued different camo depending on the requirement of their mission, for example dessert camo for operations in SWA during the Border War. Our MRS are strictly for Maritime operations and nothing else, they are basically trained for anti piracy operations, they are however parachute trained and can preform other missions if needed! |
