achorladey:tritheism is not trinity, that is why you have been getting John17:1 wrong. |

diadem10:Jesus is not an extension of God but God himself 100%. Saying Jesus is just an extension of God is a sort of modallism. Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. |

Yeah, for sure! I have answered your questions and you may check it when you are free. I always try to bring to your attention the disparity between your thought and your quote and to parse the conceptual connotation that the quoted Bible verses portray. Some of these Bible books were written by Jesus' apostles themselves and they clearly understand the difference between the man, Jesus and the spirit creature who ascended to God, the father and was given the kingship to rule mankind in Jehovah's kingdom. Take for example the apostle Peter, he walked with Jesus and he spent enormous time watching him closely and learning from him. We do not expect to have better understanding above such a person in regard to detailing the exact nature of Jesus. Ferisidowu: |

solite3:Modalism and the trinitarian doctrines have no place in the Bible. These are pagan beliefs edified by non-christians to distort the spread of the truth about God. God did not create controversy but we did. Where did godhead pull out from? Is it found in the Greek text? You do not go about spreading heresy without doing thorough research about the message you are putting out. what is the Greek word for Godhead? |
Re: Is Jesus God? by lovingJehovah: 6:00pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
Trinity itself has no trace to Christianity. Constantine converged all pagan worshipers to begin a distort that will stir controversy to true worship. solite3: |
Re: Is Jesus God? by diadem10: 7:00pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
solite3: Jesus is the Word of God that came unto us in a Fleshy form, hence became the begotten son of God. The fullness of God dwells in his Word. The Word simply completes God. |

and what is the Greek word for godhead according to your translation? diadem10: |
Re: Is Jesus God? by diadem10: 7:20pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
lovingJehovah: Dunno. Why asking? |
Re: Is Jesus God? by lovingJehovah: 7:27pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
Because I believe that you should do some research on it to find out the truth in the controversial translation that you publicly quoted. The holy scriptures do not hold such view as godhead. It is a man-made inclusion and distortion to the holy scriptures. Neither Jesus nor his apostles taught that. So, as a Christian, I would want to know the source from which the 'godhead' was translated. diadem10: |
Re: Is Jesus God? by diadem10: 7:45pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
lovingJehovah: The scriptures told us explicitly that Jesus is the Word of God made to become flesh and we know God regard his word more than his name, hence, it's not a rocket science that the fullness of God lies in his Word. Moreover, we were told that Jesus is the brightness of God's glory which means He completes God! But due to the fact that he was made into a flesh, he became the son of the most high God, even as we're the sons of the God because of Jesus. |
Re: Is Jesus God? by lovingJehovah: 7:49pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
Okay, but my question is on the origin of the godhead. Where in the Greek scriptures can I find the origin of that word? diadem10: |
Re: Is Jesus God? by diadem10: 7:57pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
lovingJehovah: Well, I don't know. |
Re: Is Jesus God? by lovingJehovah: 8:00pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
Do you love God enough to find that out? At least to be sure that you are not being misled or to ensure that your worship is directed to the true God diadem10: |
Re: Is Jesus God? by diadem10: 8:45pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
lovingJehovah: Well, my worship is directed to the true God. I can only pray for more of the Spirit's lead on this. |
Re: Is Jesus God? by lovingJehovah: 9:10pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
Prayers also need work, bro. You cannot pray and sleep lazy. These acts draw us closer to God. The Bible in Philippians 1:10 that you may "make sure" of the more important things, so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of Christ. It is for a reason that we were given that admonition. Why not take 30 minutes of your time to "make sure" of that word and know if you are on the right path. Google is your buddy. How can you make sure that your worship is directed to the true God? Remember that we are all imperfect. If you take a clue from the history of the Israelites, you can see the way they deviate from true worship. It didn't happen overnight. It took time and slowly they turned against Jehovah several times. That is why we need to "make sure". Give it a try, it is worth it in the end. diadem10: |

Ferisidowu:Don't forget in a hurry in my post to questions, I said lovingJehovah handled those questions. I also said it's fantastic the answer revolve back to the only begotten Son. That was what my initial question to you involve as well. |
Re: Is Jesus God? by Nobody: 9:14pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
lovingJehovah:what evidence have u, that trinity is pagan? The Greek word for Godhead is theote's mean the essential nature of God that makes God who he is. There is no controversy in the word of God. Trinity is fully backed by the bible which is our standard |

Ferisidowu:Revelation 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. [q uote author=diadem10 post=62410786]are you saying Jesus was not the son of God before he became flesh? @ bold the bible didn't say all fullness of God dwells in his word. |
Re: Is Jesus God? by diadem10: 9:46pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
solite3: Yeah. He was the Word turned into flesh. That's why the scriptures keep repeating that anyone who says Jesus didn't come to the world in a fleshy form is an antichrist, which is equivalent to anyone saying Jesus isn't the begotten son of God. As for the bolded, you mean the scripture didn't say that yet it told us that the fullness of Godhead is lies in Jesus? Then tell me who's the Word of God? |
Re: Is Jesus God? by achorladey: 10:15pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
Ferisidowu:Perhaps I missed the last point you made concerning what you believe, I am sorry for that. I only want you to be aware that in writing, when using a material as a source of reference, it adds as proof or backup of your own personal write up. Your references alongside your write up are more like cross examination of what the JWs believe. So you would expect individuals reading your write up to view and see where your loyalty lies. I feel this is what lovingJehovah is trying to show you as well in his response to some of your post earlier. 1 Like |

[quote author=diadem10 post=62415300] I don't dispute that but what I don't agree is that Jesus only became the Son of God on earthYeah. He was the Word turned into flesh. That's why the scriptures keep repeating thatanyone who says Jesus didn't come to the world in a fleshy form is an antichrist, which is equivalent to anyone saying Jesus isn't the begotten son of God. Jesus has always been the son of God right from eternity. Check this verse 1 John 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us 1 John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. As for the bolded, you mean the scripture didn't say that yet it told us that the fullness of Godhead is lies in Jesus? Then tell me who's the Word of God?that is not what I mean? There is a difference between Christ ( the anointed) and the The word |
Re: Is Jesus God? by achorladey: 10:33pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
diadem10:Are you now saying without Jesus, there is no God? Or the Almighty God cannot exist independently without Jesus? Please explain. It's good you are adding your own quota as well. |
Re: Is Jesus God? by diadem10: 10:41pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
achorladey: He has always been part of him from the beginning, so I don't understand your question? We were told nothing was created without him, the Word! Both him and God are simply one! They have been existing as one being before the world came to be. He confirmed it again when he prayed for us to be one, even as he's one with the father. I can only say God completes Jesus, even as Jesus completes him. They are indivisible one. |
Re: Is Jesus God? by diadem10: 10:48pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
solite3: There's no difference between christ and the Word. We were told the Word was turned into flesh and came to live with us here on earth. As for the scriptures you quoted, John was simply telling us that Jesus was existing, even before he was manifested to us. His life didn't just begin here on earth. In fact, this could be likened to an egg which has yolk, albumen and a shell, all which are one body! |
Re: Is Jesus God? by achorladey: 11:04pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
diadem10:It shouldn't be I can only say......... there must be enough back up scripturally as to what you say. Now let me point something out to you. Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 17:25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; Who fits this scripture......... Jehovah(Almighty God) or Jesus. Make sure you read that scripture very well and reflect back on your analogy that Jesus completes God and the fullness of Almighty God dwells in Jesus bodily. |
Re: Is Jesus God? by achorladey: 11:15pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
diadem10:What does the acts of Stephen in the book of Acts have to say about this your ONE BEING? Point it out if you know. Please don't come back and tell us the "us" and "ours" in Genesis account refer to Jesus and other GOD BEINGS(permit me to use this) because according to you they are indivisible and it's just One BEING. |
Re: Is Jesus God? by lovingJehovah: 11:18pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
what evidence have u, that trinity is pagan? I cannot find trinity in the Bible. Deuteronomy 6:4 Young's Literal Translation Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah. Jesus said in John 20:17 Your God is the father, Jehovah The Council of Nicaea met on May 20, 325 [C.E.]. Constantine himself presided, actively guiding the discussions, and personally proposed . . . the crucial formula expressing the relation of Christ to God in the creed issued by the council, ‘of one substance with the Father.’ . . . Overawed by the emperor, the bishops, with two exceptions only, signed the creed, many of them much against their inclination.”—Encyclopædia Britannica (1970), Volume 6, page 386. “The impression could arise that the Trinitarian dogma is in the last analysis a late 4th-century invention. In a sense, this is true . . . The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century.”—New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967), Volume 14, page 299. The Greek word for Godhead is theote's mean the essential nature of God that makes God who he is. And you believe that Theotes means godhead, yeah? And not deity? or divine quality? Theotes is an abstract noun derived from theos. How, then, can you reconcile Colossians 1:19 to Colossians 2:9 if you accept the godhead in the latter? Can you reconcile the godhead use in Colossians 2:9 to the godhead used here in Acts 17:29 in the Greek scriptures? Do they tally? If not, what then, is the true definition of godhead? There is no controversy in the word of God. Trinity is fully backed by the bible which is our standard How do you reconcile Jesus' words in John 20:17; John 17:3; How do you explain Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah? How do you put together 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Corinthians 11:3, colossians 1:15; Matthew 24:36 etc? solite3:I will attach some pictures so that you can see the fathers of the Trinity
