An undermined number of notorious cultists and armed robbers have escaped from the custody of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian Police in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The search for all who escaped is ongoing and the police were said to be searching all the nooks and crannies of the state capital thoroughly to rearrest every single one of them.

Eyewitnesses say the criminals fled the SARS office at about 10am this morning. While some said the fleeing number was 10, security sources said the police were still trying to determine the figure.
