Well I really don't know what to say ..but sacking that number of employed individuals throwing them back onto the Labour market will definitely not meanwell for the Economy.

You also definitely don't want them to teach your child.. that'll be catastrophic

I have said that we need leaders like elrufai in all sector s of this nation to get the change we want. Our failure is systematic and we need a systematic cleansing to correct it and this is one of it. Until we stopped pitying failure and stand up to get the best, then things will change for the better.
What is happening in kaduna is everywhere in this country and this elrufai standard should be replicated everywhere to get things right, it's only a question of some yrs to come we will thank God we took this action and stood behind the first governor to do same.
Elrufai may have some faults as a human but I have always known him as a very intelligent person that is fearless.

While that huge number is thrown back into the labour market, same number if competent personnel are pulled out of the labour market and employed. So the net effect on the economy ( according to you) will be zero, while the benefit on quality of teaching astronomical.

sad The igbo governors should also follow this path. Too many incompetent teachers in igbo land and it's affecting their academic output. The reason why their students fail waec and neco every year. Most teachers in the east cannot speak good English let alone impact knowledge. The east has the highest number of illiterates in the country after the core north. Yorubas remain the pride of Nigeria when it comes to education. No wonder ekiti state has the highest number of professors in the country sad

Check out the results of Oyo and Osun states. The reality is that the education standards has fallen drastically all over the country. No tribe is left out. Our education system needs a total overhaul.

There will be positive impact on the poor children and their future which will be a plus on the Kaduna economy in future.

I dont like how people dont see it from the perspective of the future of those children. Theyre only focusing of the money that will sustain the selfish and redundant teachers.

The children don't matter. It's just cliché thing a lot society says. It's times like this that prove that.

They have been milking the economy without contributing meaningfully, rather destroying the system and economy at large. Those in labour market that can add to the economy should come on-board. You can't give what you don't have.

he is replacing them with the same number. So the negative impact on Kaduna economy is zero.

It will affect the families of the sack teachers negatively while it affect the family of the new teachers positively.
that is law of conservation of work

Exactly. Most Nigerians don't give a damn about giving children a quality education, getting decent and well-maintained roads, the provision of regular and effective trash collection, affordable primary healthcare, etc., as long as "salaries are paid on time", never mind whether the people receiving the timely salary payments are doing anything more than burdening the public purse. With the shameful attitude on display throughout this thread, is it any wonder 35 out of 36 states are severely overburdened with bloated work-forces that eat up nearly all state government revenues, leaving almost nothing for meaningful development?

As with so much else that is wrong with Nigeria, I blame this mentality on the "free" oil money shared out as "federal allocations": only when state and local governments are mainly funded through taxation will ordinary Nigerians come to care about their hard-earned money being wasted on unqualified and useless public employees, instead of it being devoted to meaningful things that will make a lasting difference in their lives.

Do Kaduna state have 21,000 well trained teachers to replace them with.?

Before you sack people, you must ask yourself if you have better alternatives.

Government responsibility is to create policies and enable environment for business to thrive. He came in and did the reverse.
Your explanation when to only bank. You left the others. grin

Do i need to mention all when i already said private business..

So he should have made policy for them to be using Government money to run their dead business?

Not sacking them would not mean well for the pupils too. If they can't get good education what hope is there for our economy then?

Having the highest number of professors doesn't equal to the highest level of success, I'm a Yoruba person but stating that eastern and northern teachers are bad is not true.
