Good Evening.
No offense though but its time we all think of it, are these artistically driven faces called madeup faces we see (at the parties, on our roads, in the church) really worth it.
Everyday we see women adorned either vulgarly or tastefully with these features, it is believed that women spend great time on these.
Why would you spend close to an hour on something that would make you less sophisticated.
It was a few months back as I came back from church I saw a really tacky form of makeup. The woman was quite dark and she used a very different tone of foundation almost chocolate for her face and the different tones clashed horribly. To top it off, she opted for different colors of eyeshadow on each eye. The effect was a dramatic eyesore.
Please if you haven't watched a good makeup tutorial online on YouTube or you don't have such training kindly ask for assistance or better still ditch it.(It is better you try to look natural once in a while)
Another issue I have is the use of oil based foundation, in our tropical region where the sun is cruel and all, imagine sitting thirty minutes in a tight can molue with piles of makeup. It definitely will start to run down if you really don't know how to maintain it.
And this ends as an eyesore.
Instead stick to these simple techniques.
A) Always use warm water to wash your face, so as to open up the skin pores whenever you are bathing in the morning. It also helps to get rid of the makeup left.
B) use toning lotion or very cold water to close pores before applying makeup. It keeps your pores tight and clean and also minimizes acne(pimple).
C) test for foundation tones correctly. Instead of rushing off to pick any form of foundation you see at the market. Why don't you test it out? Experts say that the best place is applying at your chest area and going to an illuminated place to see if they match. If you can't try it out take out little quantities and rub on the back of your hand. That is much better than having different tones clashing on your face.
C) get makeup for your skin, do you have oily and sweaty skin? Or are you the dry and scaly type. Pick appropriate makeup products not one that someone advised you to use. It is your skin so use what is best for it.
D) never ever use expiring or out of date makeup throw it out. Why? So many diseases conditions go alongside with harmful chemical reactions in these old I'm trying to save up money makeup materials. There is a huge skin cancer as number one.
The rest would be on another post next week. Thank you and stay beautiful.
