Hello brethren i post this here for us to look at it. how can one know that he is being called to preach the gospel Jesus. share your experience, let us know how u know for sure that u are called.

ACTUALLY I HAD A DREAM WHERE A MAN ASK ME TO READ MATTHEW CHAPTER 5:15-20 and in THE SAME PERIOD I HAD ANOTHER DREAM WHERE I WAS LEADING THE BLIND. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT THIS GOT TO DO WITH MY DESTINY. PLS SHARE HOW U KNOW FOR SURE THAT GOD HAS CALLED U TO PREACH THE GOSPEL.

when you start to collect tithe and seed offering - you will know you are called by god of mammon

Jesus gave us a command in Mark 16:15 "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature". All Christians are expected to preach the world to every creature. When you are Saved and Sanctified, you can only reach out to the people i.e personal evangelism but when it has to do with Public Ministry as an Evangelist, you need to be filled with the Holy Ghost then when it is to become a Pastor of a Church, God can speak to men in different ways.

Every christian is called, immediately you believe the gospel you are to 'go' and reach your world for christ.

2 Cor. 5:18-19
    And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; [19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

@ olu the gift of the holy spirit is for witnessing and is for every christian not only pastors.

Acts 1:8

    For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

A christian dont have to wait until he is a pastor to recieve the holy spirit. When you can recieve him now like conelius and his household.
Acts 10:44
    While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

An assistant pastor at a church I used to attend came up one day looking very sad. When prompted, he expressed a fear at the circumstances in his life (things were very bad for him) and he wondered if his life was right and if his "ministry" was ok with God. We made him see that ALL Christians are called to minister and if any christian asks God, God would "naturally" tell such to do HIS work - that however, doesn't mean you should become a pastor. The guy has left "ministry" and is now fulfilled with a good job BUT ministers as he feels led (with according to him, more success in evangelism and his life).

Anyway, if you feel called to minister in a more special way and are truly called of God, look to God's Word for guidance. Jesus was a carpenter yet ministered. Peter was a fisherman yet ministered. Paul made tents for a living yet wrote most of the NT. Get a job or start a business and then like these, use YOUR substance to do God's Work. If this is acceptable to your spirit and you do not feel "led" to start a tithes ministry but a ministry built after the order of the Lord and His closest associates, then IMHO, you are truly called and have a reward from God.

@ nuclearboy and nuel, i really agree with you. i have been trying to know what meaning those dream i had got to know with my life. i will neva start a ministry just to get money, thats why i want to be sure of the meaning of my dreams before anything. i am still praying for God to show me what he mean and also give me a sign if truely HE wants me to shine his light.

Anyway Bro, all of us are so don't worry! The point is a desire and walk towards being better all-around! God seeks those who are ready to give themselves and their lives to Him and with such, He does things that amaze earth.
