At last, Nigerian Civil/public servants may have gotten succour. An unconfirmed document making the rounds in the Military and Paramilitary sectors has shown that workers under the PENCOM contributory scheme can now assess 50% of their total contribution while still in service .
There has been wide-spread excitement among contributors many of who have described it as the best thing to happen to Nigeria Workers in a long while.
There is also the belief that this was the Pension Fund Administrators' (PFA)way of calming down the tension within the different contributory organizations who had wanted pulling out of the scheme.
How true and effective this new development will turn out to be remains to be seen and felt.

@ OP Read well...it says 50% of voluntary contributions are available for withdrawal, not 50% of total contributions. The 25% of total contributions in the pencom act (assuming one wants to withdraw before 50 years of age) remains valid.
